Trophy Wife (American Band)
Trophy Wife is an American punk rock, punk and post-hardcore band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Originally founded in Washington, D.C., in 2009, members include Diane Foglizzo on guitar and Katy Otto on drums, with both Foglizzo and Otto singing. They tour frequently, and many of their shows double as benefits for non-profit organizations. They have released three full albums: ''Patience Fury'' (2010), ''Sing What Scares You'' (2012), and ''All the Sides'' (2014). Union Transfer
Union Transfer is a music venue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located at 1026 Spring Garden Street in the Callowhill neighborhood, it opened on September 21, 2011, as a joint venture between The Bowery Presents, a New York City production company now owned by AEG Live; and R5 Productions, an independent Philadelphia production company. Its 1889 building retains signage for its original tenant, the Spring Garden Farmer's Market. From 1918 to 1942, the building housed the Union Transfer Baggage Express Co., storing bags and other items for the railway company; later, it housed a tire shop, a trust company, and a Spaghetti Warehouse restaurant. Union Transfer primarily hosts indie rock acts, but also folk, electronic dance music, hip hop and punk. Pissed Jeans
Pissed Jeans is an American hardcore punk band from Allentown, Pennsylvania. The band claims to play "loud, heavy, noisy, punk rock" and is influenced by 1980s hardcore punk and post-hardcore bands. The band has released several seven singles and five albums, and are currently signed to the record label Sub Pop in Seattle. History The members of Pissed Jeans all attended Nazareth Area High School in Nazareth, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. The band initially planned to use the name Unrequited Hard-On before ultimately settling on Pissed Jeans. Noise Rock
Noise rock (sometimes called noise punk) is a noise music, noise-oriented style of experimental rock that spun off from punk rock in the 1980s. Braid (band)
Braid is an American emo band from Champaign, Illinois, formed in 1993. Following several early line-up changes, the band eventually settled on Bob Nanna on guitar and vocals, Todd Bell on bass, Chris Broach on guitar and vocals, and Roy Ewing on drums until he was replaced in 1997 by new drummer Damon Atkinson. In 1998 the group released their third album, ''Frame & Canvas'', to critical acclaim and is considered a staple of the late 1990s emo movement. Despite ''Frame & Canvass success, Braid disbanded in 1999. The Breeders
The Breeders are an American alternative rock band based in Dayton, Ohio, consisting of members Kim Deal (rhythm guitar, lead vocals), her twin sister Kelley Deal (lead guitar, vocals), Josephine Wiggs (bass guitar, vocals) and Jim Macpherson (drums). The earliest incarnation of the band was formed by Kim Deal and Tanya Donelly in 1989 as a side-project alongside their full-time bands Pixies and Throwing Muses respectively.
