Trondhjems Nationale Scene
Trondhjems nationale Scene was a theatre that opened in Trondheim in 1911, and closed in 1927. The theatre's first artistical director was Thora Hansson, from 1911 to 1913. The opening performance was held on 15 September 1911, with Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's play ''Sigurd Jorsalfar'' with Grieg's music, and Ibsen's play '' Fruen fra Havet'' was performed the next day. The theatre performed eighteen different plays the first season. After the theatre closed in 1927, it would take ten years until Trondheim again had a permanent theatre, when Trøndelag Teater opened in 1937. Trondheim
Trondheim ( , , ; sma, Tråante), historically Kaupangen, Nidaros and Trondhjem (), is a city and municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. As of 2020, it had a population of 205,332, was the third most populous municipality in Norway, and was the fourth largest urban area. Trondheim lies on the south shore of Trondheim Fjord at the mouth of the River Nidelva. Rasmus Rasmussen (actor)
Rasmus Rasmussen (4 November 1862 – 17 July 1932) was a Norwegian actor, folk singer and theatre director. He was born in Molde, a son of captain Chrispinus Martinus Rasmussen and Anna Helene Carlsen. He emigrated to the United States around 1880, where he earned his living as a logger, but returned to Norway some years later. He performed at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen from 1887 to 1910. The next two years he toured Norway as a singer. He was the first theatre director of Det Norske Teatret, from 1912 to 1914, and during this period he also contributed as actor in several plays. He served as theatre director at Trondhjems nationale Scene from 1916 to 1924. He appeared in the several silent movies, including ''Bride of Glomdal'' and ''Brudeferden i Hardanger'', both from 1926 and his only sound film, ''Kristine Valdresdatter'' in 1930. Ludvig Müller
Ludvig Müller (29 February 1868 – 1 October 1922) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director. Although he started in his hometown Bergen as a local businessman in 1884 having his own business in operation from 1892, Ludvig made his stage debut at Christiania Theater in 1897 where he stayed for two years before moving on to his thirteen years at the newly established Nationaltheatret in 1899. Müller chaired the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association from 1901 to 1903, and from 1907 to 1913. From 1913 to 1916 he was theatre director at Trondhjems nationale Scene in Trondheim, a city much farther north. He died at the German spa town Bad Nauheim in 1922, after having finished a manuscript for ''Den nye lensmannen'', a silent movie released in 1926, four years after his death. Thora Hansson
Thora Hansson (December 2, 1848 – September 11, 1917) was a Norwegian actress and theatre director. She made her stage début at Christiania Theater in 1871, and worked at this theatre until 1899. Thora Hanssom was the first actress to portray Solveig in Henrik Ibsens play Peer Gynt when it premiered in 1876. She was the first manager of the theatre Trondhjems nationale Scene, from 1911 to 1913. From 1914 until her death in Stavanger at age of 69 in 1917, she was director of the theatre in Stavanger. She was born in Christiania (now called Oslo). Her parents were Jørgen Friederich Neelsen (1808–1862), an architect, and Julie Hedvig Rustad (1821–1878). Trøndelag Teater
Trøndelag Teater is a large theater in the city of Trondheim, in Trøndelag county, Norway. Trøndelag Teater stages large-scale dance and musical performances. History Originally built in 1816, the theater is the oldest stage in Scandinavia in continuous use. Initially, the theatre was used by the local Amateur Theatre, and after that by travelling Danish theater companies, some of which used it as a permanent theatre such as Johan Conrad Huusher (1829–1831), Carl Wilhelm Orlamundt (1831–1834), Jacob Mayson (1836–1839) and Gustav Wilhelm Selmer (1839–1848).
