Trippenhuis
The Trippenhuis is a neoclassical canal mansion in the centre of Amsterdam. It was built in 1660–1662 for the wealthy Amsterdam weapons traders Louis and Hendrick Trip. Many references to weaponry can be seen on its facade. Since 1887 it has been the seat of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). ''Portrait of the Trip Sisters'', also known as ''Portrait of Margarita Trip as Minerva Teaching Her Sister Anna Maria Trip'', is an oil on canvas painting by Dutch artist Ferdinand Bol, created in 1663. It is in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, in Amsterdam, but is currently displayed at the Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen, also in Amsterdam. It is signed and dated 'fBol 1663'. It shows Margarita Trip (1640-1714) and her sister Anna Maria Trip (1652-1681), both daughters of the merchant Louis Trip and his wife Emerentia Hoefslager. The Rijksmuseum () is the national museum of the Netherlands dedicated to Dutch arts and history and is located in Amsterdam. Cornelis Sebille Roos
Cornelis Sebille Roos or Cornelis Roos (1754 – 1820) was a Dutch art dealer and inspector of the Nationale Konst-Gallery collection in Huis ten Bosch during the years 1799-1801 Roos was born 10 January 1754 in Amsterdam and baptized six days later in the Walloon church. He became a drawing teacher and manager of Felix Meritis, which he helped found. In 1798 he lived in the left-hand side of the Trippenhuis where he started his art dealership. Many of the paintings he originally purchased have found their way into the collection of the Rijksmuseum. He was friends with Jan Gildemeester and attended the estate sale of his art collection, buying many pieces there that later found their way in the Huis ten Bosch collection. Justus Vingboons (or ''Vinckboons'', ''Vinckeboons'') (c. 1620 – c. 1698) was an Amsterdam architect. He was the brother of the better-known architect Philips Vingboons. The Top 100 Dutch heritage sites is a list of rijksmonuments in the Netherlands, established in 1990 by the Department for Conservation ( Monumentenzorg, today the Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed). The Top 100 was a selection of historical monuments that were authorized to display the symbol of the Hague Convention of 1954 (the famous blue and white shield, known as the UNESCO shield). The list should not be confused with the UNESCO World Heritage list. The buildings on the list could expect extra security in the context of the policy. Villa Welgelegen is a historical building in Haarlem, the Netherlands, which currently houses the offices of the provincial executives of North Holland. Located at the north end of a public park in the city, it is an example of neoclassical architecture, designed by Abraham van der Hart and unusual for its style in the Netherlands. A rijksmonument (, ) is a national heritage site of the Netherlands, listed by the agency Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (RCE) acting for the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. At the end of February 2015, the Netherlands had 61,822 listed national heritage sites, of which approximately 1,500 are listed as archaeological sites. History and criteria Until 2012, a place had to be over 50 years old to be eligible for designation. This criterion expired on 1 January 2012.
