Trinity Transit
Trinity Transit is a public transportation service in Trinity County, California. Trinity Transit provides services between the communities of Douglas City, Hayfork, Junction City, Lewiston, Redding, Weaverville, and Willow Creek. Regional services connect with neighboring systems: Redding Area Bus Authority in Redding, Redding Amtrak station, and Redwood Transit System and Klamath-Trinity Non-Emergency Medical Transportation in Willow Creek. Trinity Transit service is managed by the Trinity County Transportation Commission. Trinity Transit was originally operated by the Human Response Network (HRN), which began service in 1988. Service was available to Hayfork, Douglas City, Lewiston, Weaverville and Junction City. After several months of operation, the service to Lewiston and Junction City were discontinued, leaving the Hayfork to Weaverville service, which included Douglas City. Redding Area Bus Authority
The Redding Area Bus Authority, or RABA, is the operator of public transportation in Shasta County, California. RABA was formerly known as The Ride. Ten local routes serve the cities of Redding, Anderson, and Shasta Lake and their surrounding regions, with over 650,000 riders taking advantage of public transportation each year. Buses operate 6 days per week and stops are located at approximately quarter mile intervals. An eleventh route, the Burney Express, serves as a limited-stop weekday commuter line, operating three times per day in each direction. Burney Express is operated for Shasta County by RABA. RABA was formed in 1976 by a joint powers agreement (JPA) between the City of Redding and the County of Shasta to provide public transit services within the Greater Redding Area. Redding Station (California)
Redding station is an intercity train station served by Amtrak's ''Coast Starlight'', located in Redding, California, United States. The depot was built by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1923 and opened on February 5, 1924. The train station has sheltered waiting areas on both platforms and a parking lot near the southbound platform. Due to the way schedules are aligned, both the northbound and the southbound ''Coast Starlight'' pass through Redding in the middle of the night, when no connecting transit systems are usually operating. Amtrak Thruway motorcoach route 3 provides additional service in northern California during the daytime hours, connecting Redding to Chico, Davis, Sacramento and Stockton, where passengers can connect to ''San Joaquins'' trains. Redwood Transit System
The Redwood Transit System is a commuter transit service that operates Monday-Saturday on the Highway 101 corridor between Trinidad and Garberville in Humboldt County, California, and also serves Westhaven, McKinleyville, Arcata, Eureka, Fields Landing, Loleta, Fortuna, and Scotia. The RTS Willow Creek Extension operates between Arcata and Willow Creek during weekday commute hours. Additionally, Redwood Transit System is administered by Humboldt Transit Authority. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (), nicknamed the Recovery Act, was a stimulus package enacted by the 111th U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama in February 2009.
