Trial Kennedy were an Australian rock band formed in 2002, in Melbourne, Victoria. The band released two albums, both peaked in the Australian top 50. In 2012, the band announced their break-up. History 2002–2006: Early EPs Trial Kennedy formed in 2002, Trial Kennedy's first release was an independent extended play (EP), ''Present for a Day'', recorded, engineered and produced by producer Kalju Tonuma. It was released in 2004. In 2006's, Trial Kennedy released the EP ''Picture Frame'', also produced by Tonuma. 2007–2012: ''New Manic Art'' and ''Living Undesigned'' Trial Kennedy released their debut studio album, '' New Manic Art'', on 31 May 2008. The album was produced by Nick DiDia and it debuted at number 24 on the ARIA Charts. Singles "Neighbours" and "Colour Day Tours" were instant Triple J anthems. ''The Voice'' is an Australian singing competition television series. It premiered on the Nine Network on 14 April 2012, before moving to the Seven Network in 2021. The AIR Awards of 2011 (or Jägermeister Independent Awards of 2011) is the sixth annual Australian Independent Record Labels Association Music Awards (generally known as the AIR Awards) and was an award ceremony at Revolt Art Space, in Melbourne, Australia on 12 October 2011. The Australian Independent Record Awards (commonly known informally as AIR Awards) is an annual awards night to recognise, promote and celebrate the success of Australia's Independent Music sector. History The inaugural 2006 awards were held at Blacket Hotel in Sydney on 29 November 2006 and sponsored by V energy drinks. The following awards ceremonies were held between October and December in Melbourne, Victoria from 2007 to 2015. In December 2008 it was announced that Jägermeister, previously a "headline sponsor", would become the major sponsors until 2010. Horsell Common were an Australian band from Melbourne, Victoria. They made their live debut in early 2002, following this up with a string of EPs, and released their first full-length album '' The Rescue'' on 29 September 2007. The album peaked at number 100 on the ARIA Charts. The band is named after a substantial area of conservation land south west of London where the Martians in H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds first landed.
