Trevor Brown (baseball)
Trevor Michael Brown (born November 15, 1991) is an American former professional baseball catcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants. Early life While in high school Brown worked for two years at In-N-Out. He graduated from William S. Hart High School (California), Hart High School in Santa Clarita, California. Brown played college baseball for three years at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), playing at catcher, first base, second base, third base, and right field. Career Brown was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 10th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He primarily played second base at Augusta GreenJackets, Augusta and San Jose Giants, San Jose in 2013. Sacramento River Cats
The Sacramento River Cats are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and are the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Prior to 2015, the River Cats were the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics for 15 years. They are based in West Sacramento, California, and play their home games at Sutter Health Park which opened in 2000 and was known as Raley Field through 2019. Sacramento was previously represented in the Pacific Coast League by the Solons, a charter member of the league which was founded in 1903. Three different versions of the Solons played in California's capital city in 1903, 1905, from 1909 to 1914, from 1918 to 1960, and from 1974 to 1976. The Fresno Grizzlies are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. They are located in Fresno, California, and play their home games at Chukchansi Park, which was opened in 2002 in downtown Fresno. They previously played at Fresno State's Pete Beiden Field from 1998 to 2001. The Grizzlies were established in 1998 as members of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League (PCL). They won the PCL championship in 2015, making it the only league title in franchise history. The Santa Clarita Valley Signal is a newspaper in Santa Clarita, California. It was founded in 1919 as a weekly, the '' Newhall Signal.'' Kevin Darnell Mitchell (born January 13, 1962) is an American former Major League Baseball left fielder. Mitchell was a two-time All-Star and the 1989 NL MVP. Early life Mitchell was born in San Diego to Alma Mitchell, who worked as an electrician with the US Navy. Alma and Mitchell's father, Earl, separated when Mitchell was two years old. Because Mitchell struggled academically, he attended several high schools in San Diego including Lincoln High School, Clairemont High School and Crawford High School where he claimed to have played water polo.
