David Tredinnick (politician)
David Arthur Stephen Tredinnick (born 19 January 1950) is a British Conservative former Member of Parliament who represented Bosworth in Leicestershire from 1987 to 2019. He is an advocate of alternative medicine, and was chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Integrated Healthcare (previously Integrated and Complementary Healthcare) from 2002 to 2019. Early life Tredinnick attended Eton College, St John's College, Oxford (gaining a MLitt), and the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, where he gained an MBA. Tredinnick was commissioned into the Grenadier Guards after passing out from Mons Officer Cadet School on 10 August 1968. He served mainly in Northern Ireland and West Germany. Mark Tredinnick (born 1962) is an Australian poet, essayist and teacher. Winner of the Montreal International Poetry Prize in 2011 and the Cardiff International Poetry Competition in 2012. He is the author of thirteen books, including four volumes of poetry (''Bluewren Cantos, Fire Diary, The Lyrebird, The Road South''); ''The Blue Plateau;'' ''The Little Red Writing Book'' and ''Writing Well: the Essential Guide.'' Dr Noël Harwood Tredinnick (born 9 March 1949) is a British composer, organist, orchestrator and conductor. He was awarded a Lambeth DMus degree in March 2002. In Queen Elizabeth's Birthday Honours bestowed in 2021, he received a BEM (British Empire Medal) for life-long services to Church Music and Music Education. Noël has toured extensively in Europe, the U.S., Australia and South Africa as both lecturer and conductor. David Tredinnick is an Australian actor. An experienced actor with a long career in theatre, he is perhaps best known for his regular role as bar owner Simon Trader in the television series ''The Secret Life of Us''. Biography Tredinnick was born in the Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley. He battled anorexia as a teenager and was obsessed with extreme exercise. Craig Weatherhill (1950 or 1951 – 18 or 19 July 2020) was a Cornish antiquarian, novelist and writer on the history, archaeology, place names and mythology of Cornwall. Weatherhill attended school in Falmouth, where his parents ran a sports shop. He played football for a number of local clubs, including Mawnan, and played as goalkeeper for the county football team. Between 1972 and 1974, Weatherhill served with the RAF, training as a cartographer. He was discharged after a serious back injury. He worked as a planning officer, architectural designer and historic conservation expert in local government and private practice. Under the tutelage of historian P.A.S. Pool he conducted archaeological surveys of West Cornwall. Weatherhill was also a Conservation Officer at Penwith District Council. Harry L. "Nick" Tredennick was an American manager, inventor, VLSI design engineer and author who was involved in the development for Motorola's MC68000 and for IBM's Micro/370 microprocessors. He held BSEE and MSEE degrees from Texas Tech University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
