David Tredinnick (actor)
David Tredinnick is an Australian actor. An experienced actor with a long career in theatre, he is perhaps best known for his regular role as bar owner Simon Trader in the television series ''The Secret Life of Us''. Biography Tredinnick was born in the Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley. He battled anorexia as a teenager and was obsessed with extreme exercise. Tredinnick studied arts at Melbourne University where he became interested in theatre. He joined the university theatre company and performed in local fringe theatre for a number of years. This was to earn him his first major role as a lead in the Melbourne Theatre Company production of ''Angels in America'' in 1993, a performance which won him a prestigious Green Room Award. The Secret Life Of Us
''The Secret Life of Us'' is an Australian television drama series set in the beachside neighbourhood of St Kilda, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is primarily a drama with some comedic moments. The series was produced by Southern Star Group and screened in Australia from 2001 to 2005 on Network Ten and on Channel 4 in the UK. Glen Waverley is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Monash local government area. ''Something in the Air'' is an Australian television soap opera transmitted by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation between 2000 and 2002. It was one of the first programs in Australia that was filmed in widescreen. It won the AACTA Award for Best Television Drama Series in 2001. The series initially screened four episodes weekly, Monday to Thursday at 6:30 pm and received moderate success. Ratings began to drop after the show was moved to Saturday evenings in which it was cut down to two episodes shown in a one-hour block. It later resumed its usual weekly run, however, it was screened in a 6:00 pm timeslot which ultimately led to its cancellation. The series was repeated on the-then ABC2 from 11 February 2008.
