Treat River
The Treat River is a short tributary of the Salmon River in Lincoln County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. It begins in the Siuslaw National Forest in the Central Oregon Coast Range and flows generally northwest. It enters the larger stream between the H. B. Lincoln County, Oregon
Lincoln County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census, its population was 50,395. The county seat is Newport. The county is named for Abraham Lincoln, 16th president of the United States. Lincoln County includes the Newport, Oregon Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Lincoln County was created by the Oregon Legislative Assembly on February 20, 1893, from the western portion of Benton and Polk counties. The county adjusted its boundaries in 1923, 1925, 1927, 1931, and 1949. At the time of the county's creation, Toledo was picked as the temporary county seat. Central Oregon Coast Range
The Central Oregon Coast Range is the middle section of the Oregon Coast Range, in the Pacific Coast Ranges physiographic region, and located in the west-central portion of the state of Oregon, United States roughly between the Salmon River and the Umpqua River and the Willamette Valley and the Pacific Ocean. This approximately long mountain range contains mountains as high as 4,097 feet (1,226 m) for Marys Peak. Portions of the range are inside the Siuslaw National Forest and three wilderness areas exist as well: Drift Creek Wilderness, Cummins Creek Wilderness and Rock Creek Wilderness. Siuslaw National Forest
The Siuslaw National Forest ( ) is a national forest in western Oregon in the United States. Established in 1908, the Siuslaw is made up of a wide variety of ecosystems, ranging from coastal forests to sand dunes. Geography The Siuslaw National Forest encompasses more than along the central Oregon Coast between Coos Bay and Tillamook, and in some places extends east from the ocean, beyond the crest of the Oregon Coast Range, almost reaching the Willamette Valley. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. Salmon River (Lincoln County, Oregon)
The Salmon River flows from the Central Oregon Coast Range to the Pacific Ocean coast of northwest Oregon in the United States. About long, it begins and ends in Lincoln County but also flows briefly through western Polk and southern Tillamook counties. Much of its course lies within the Siuslaw National Forest. Rose Lodge is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States, along the 45th parallel. The population was 1,894 at the 2010 census. Rose Lodge was named for a rose bower over the front gate of the post office established in 1908 by postmaster Julia Dodson.
