Transfer (stylized as TRANSFER) is an art gallery that opened in Brooklyn Brooklyn () is a borough of New York City, coextensive with Kings County, in the U.S. state of New York. Transfer moved to Los Angeles in June 2019, but then its physical location closed and the gallery pivoted to a virtual one. Transfer was co-founded by Kelani Nichole and Jereme Mongeon. Nichole, an independent curator, currently serves as the gallery's director. Transfer was created to help online artists become more connected in a physical way. The gallery's objective is to allow online artists to literally "transfer" their art into a physical context using four blank walls. Contemporary history, in English-language historiography, is a subset of modern history that describes the historical period from approximately 1945 to the present. Contemporary history is either a subset of the late modern period, or it is one of the three major subsets of modern history, alongside the early modern period and the late modern period.
