Tramways In ÃŽle-de-France
The Île-de-France tramways () is a network of modern tram lines in the Île-de-France region of France. Fifteen lines are currently operational (counting Lines T3a and T3b as separate lines), with extensions and additional lines in both construction and planning stages. Although the system mainly runs in the suburban regions of Paris, lines T3a and T3b run entirely within Paris city limits, while lines T2 and T9 start their routes within Paris' borders. The ÃŽle-de-France (; ; ) is the most populous of the eighteen regions of France, with an official estimated population of 12,271,794 residents on 1 January 2023. Porte De Choisy (Paris Métro)
Porte de Choisy () is a station on line 7 of the Paris Métro, a stop on tramway T3a as well as the northern terminus of tramway T9 in the 13th arrondissement. It is named after the ''Porte de Choisy'', a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers wall of Paris, which led to Choisy-le-Roi. History The station opened on 7 March 1930 as part of line 10's extension from Place d'Italie, then serving as its eastern terminus (from Invalides). A rubber-tyred tram (also known as tramway on tyres, ) is a development of the guided bus in which a vehicle is guided by a fixed rail in the road surface and draws current from overhead electric wires (either via pantograph or trolley poles).
