Trainkos
Trainkos ( sq, Hekurudhat e Kosovës, sr, Železnice Kosova), is the national railway company of Kosovo. It was originally formed as the Kosovo Railways J.S.C United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo, UNMIK Railways from the lines of the former Yugoslav Railways that lie on Kosovar territory. In 2011, the company was split into two public companies called Trainkos and Infrakos, the latter responsible for rail maintenance. History The first railway line was built under Turkey, Turkish guidance for the Chemins de fer Orientaux, Compagnie des Chemins de Fer Orientaux (CO), led by Maurice de Hirsch. It started in Thessaloniki, went on north to Skopje and reached Kosovska Mitrovica, Mitrovicë in 1873. Pristina Railway Station
Pristina railway station ( sq, Stacioni i trenit në Prishtinë, sr, / ) is the central railway station in the city of Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. It opened on Tirana Boulevard (formerly 'Omladinskih Brigada') in 1936, having been constructed by a French/British company. Trains calling at the station are operated by Trainkos sh.a. The line on which the station sits is single-track, laid to standard gauge, but there is a loop at the station, allowing trains to pass there, with a second, parallel, loop lying out-of-use as of October 2016. A daily international train runs between Pristina and Skopje (Shkup), in North Macedonia. Pristina is also served by the larger Kosovo Polje railway station at nearby Fushë Kosovë. Kraljevo ( sr-cyr, Краљево, ) is a city and the administrative center of the Raška District in central Serbia. Makedonski Železnici (MŽ; mk, Македонски Железници (МЖ), "Macedonian Railways") is the public enterprise for railways in the Republic of North Macedonia. The railways in Albania are administered by the national railway company '' Hekurudha Shqiptare'' (HSH) (Albanian: ''Albanian Railways''). Obiliq, ) or Obilić ( sr-cyr, Обилић, ), also referred to as Kastriot ( sq-definite, Kastrioti, ) is a town and municipality in Kosovo. According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) estimate from the 2011 census, there were 21,549 people residing in Obiliq Municipality, with Kosovo Albanians constituting the majority of the population. Name Prior to the Balkan Wars, the settlement was known as ''Globoderica'' ().
