Tracy Thu Luong
Tracy Thu Luong () is the first woman to own a team in the Vietnam Basketball Association (VBA). Prior to becoming the President of Thang Long Warriors professional basketball club, she was a part Audi Vietnam. Personal life She was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City. When she was younger, her family went to Hai Duong, her father's hometown, and Hai Phong, her mother's hometown, to visit her grandparents every year. From there, she started to have a connection with Hanoi. In 2010, she married Mr. Trần Tấn Trung, owner of several luxury brands in Vietnam, such as Audi Vietnam and Tam Son Yacht, among others. They now live with their son and daughter in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Education She studied at Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, which has a very strong basketball culture. Thang Long Warriors
The Thang Long Warriors is a Vietnamese professional basketball team founded in 2017 and based in Hanoi, Vietnam. They play in the Vietnam Basketball Association. The Warriors won their first championship at the VBA 2017 and have never missed VBA Playoffs until 2022 when they finished 5-7 and missed the playoffs for first time ever. Apart from playing pro, the Warriors also takes part in developing Vietnam basketball with their Thang Long Warriors Basketball Academy and their U19, U17 team. The Vietnam Basketball Association ( vi, Giải bóng rổ chuyên nghiệp Việt Nam), often abbreviated as VBA, is a Vietnamese national professional basketball league founded in 2016. History The formation of the VBA was announced by charter team Saigon Heat following their completion of the 2015–16 ASEAN Basketball League season. Leading up to the inaugural season, the VBA expected 6 teams would compete in the new league. However, only 5 teams were officially unveiled. To oversee league operations, the VBA looked to the Philippines to find someone with an extensive basketball background. Tonichi Pujante was named the inaugural league commissioner. In January 2020, the VBA announced that the upcoming season would feature one additional team located in the province of Khanh Hoa on the Southern Coast of Vietnam.
