Trabzonspor U21 is a youth football team from Trabzonspor. The club competes in the U21 Ligi, against other U21 clubs in Turkey. An U21 team is made up of players between the ages of 18 and 20, and it is the last level of amateur play before a footballer reaches professional status in Turkey. The club was founded by former Trabzonspor footballer and manager Özkan Sümer in 1972. Trabzonspor Kulübü is a Turkish sports club located in the city of Trabzon. Formed in 1967 through a merger of several local clubs, the men's football team has won seven Süper Lig championships. Trabzonspor also have a women's football team, and used to have a men's basketball team. Trabzonspor are one of the most decorated clubs in Turkey. Özkan Sümer
Özkan Sümer (20 November 194022 December 2020) was a Turkish footballer and coach. He played as defender in Trabzonspor (and later coached the same club), Galatasaray SK, and the Turkey national football team. He also served as president of Trabzonspor. Career Footballer Sümer was born in Trabzon and started to play football in his home town's club of Trabzonspor. After some time at Karabükspor and Sebat Gençlik, Sümer re-joined Trabzonspor. Hami Mandıralı (born 20 July 1968) is a Turkish football manager and former footballer. He played for Trabzonspor nearly all of his career. Gökdeniz Karadeniz (born 11 January 1980) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a winger or as an attacking midfielder. Fatih Tekke (born 9 September 1977), known by his ''given nickname'' Sultan, is a Turkish football coach and former player who most recently managed Denizlispor. Club career Turkey Tekke was born in the small town of Köprübaşı, in the province of Trabzon. He joined Trabzonspor, the major team in the area. Tekke was still in his teens when he started to appear in the first team. In 45 matches that he played between 1994–97, he scored six goals. Hüseyin Çimşir (born 26 May 1979) is a Turkish football coach and former player. Playing career Çimşir spent most of his playing career at Trabzonspor, where he captained the side from 2006 to 2009.
