Tours Speedway is an oval speedway located in Tours, France. The track is located at the parkingplace of the Parc des expositions east of the city. It was first used in 2012. The only event raced on the track is the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. 2013 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Season
The 2013 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series was the fifth season and 1st with the new series denomination of stock car racing in Europe. The season started on 31 March at Nogaro, and ended on 13 October at Le Mans after twelve races at six meetings. Ander Vilariño is the defending driver's champion. Dijon and Monza will be added to the series schedule, while the round at Motorland Aragón will be a six-hour, non-points endurance race. Denis Dupont (born 4 January 1993) is a Belgian racing driver currently competing in the USA in Michelin Pilot Challenge in TCR. He previously raced in WTCR, TCR International Series, GT3 in Blancpain Sprint and Endurance championship, TCR BeNeLux Touring Car Championship, GT4 European Series Northern Cup and NASCAR Whelen Euro Series amongst others. Mathias Lauda (born 30 January 1981) is an Austrian racing driver currently racing for Aston Martin Racing as a factory driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He is the son of the late three-time Formula One world champion Niki Lauda and his first wife, Marlene. He has a brother, Lukas, who is currently his manager. Career Lauda was born during his father's temporary retirement from F1. Unlike many drivers, who start out in karting, Lauda debuted in 2002 in Formula Nissan 2000. Ander Vilariño Facal (born 6 November 1979 in Hondarribia) is a Spanish auto racing driver that is currently competing in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 22 Chevrolet Camaro for DF1 Racing. Vilariño is the most successful driver in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series so far with 3 titles (2012, 2013, and 2015) and 22 race wins in his career. 2014 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Season
The 2014 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series was the sixth Racecar Euro Series season, and the second under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. The season consisted of six meetings – with two races at each meeting – starting on 12 April at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, and ending on 12 October at the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans. The Elite division title went down to the final race of the season, and was ultimately decided in favour of PK Carsport driver Anthony Kumpen, by just a single point. Kumpen only won one race during the season, coming at the final race weekend, but with top-ten finishes in each of the season's races, it allowed him to just fend off the defending champion Ander Vilariño of TFT Racing. Vilariño won the most races during the season with four and took the most podium finishes with nine, but lost the title due to the series' double points system that was in effect for the final two events of the season. Flavius Scorpus also known as Scorpius (c. 68–95 AD) was a famous charioteer in Roman times who lived at the end of the 1st century AD. Scorpus rode for the Green faction during his lifetime and accumulated 2,048 victories. As one of the most famous drivers in Roman history, he earned extraordinarily large amounts of money; his income surpassing that of professional Roman sponsors. Scorpus died young, at 27 years of age. Scorpus was a slave, as were many charioteers, and was born at Hispania, the nowadays Iberian Peninsula. Josh Burdon (born 5 September 1992) is an Australian professional racing driver and 2016 Asian Formula Renault Series champion.He is currently driving for Hong Kong-based KC Motorgroup in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie and GT World Challenge Europe.
