Tourist LeMC
Tourist LeMC (born 1984, in Schoten) is the artist name of Flemish singer Johannes Faes. He sings in an adaptation of the local Antverpian dialect, altered with non-local sounds and emphases; his music is mainly influenced by French hip-hop, as well as reggae, cabaret, and folk. Biography Johannes Faes was born the third of four sons in Schoten on October 9, 1984. His mother is a nurse, his father a teacher. He is married to his former Polish neighbour Marta, with whom he has three sons. He graduated from university as a social worker. In December 2010, Faes' debut album ''Antwerps Testament'' appeared, and in 2012 he reached the finals of the Flemish music competition Humo's Rock Rally. ''Antwerp Testament'' was reissued in 2013 under the Dutch hip-hop label TopNotch. Raymond Van Het Groenewoud
Raymond van het Groenewoud (born 14 February 1950) is a Belgian musician. He was born in Schaerbeek, of Dutch descent, and he sings primarily in Dutch. His biggest hits include "Vlaanderen Boven", "Meisjes", "Je Veux de l'Amour", "Zjoske Schone Meid" and "Liefde voor Muziek". He refers to himself as a musician but also a poet, philosopher and clown. Career His debut was as a guitar player with Johan Verminnen. In 1972 he started the group Louisette with Erik van Neygen. A number of solo albums followed, accompanied by his group De Centimeters. Bart August Maria Peeters (born 30 November 1959) is a Belgian singer, musician, television presenter and actor. Biography Early years Peeters studied Germanic philology and drama in Antwerp. There, he met Jan Leyers and Hugo Matthysen, with whom he worked later. In 1972, Peeters, still a teenager, played the title role in teen drama ''Bart Banninks''. He went on to present some comedy and music shows aimed at teenagers. In 1978, Bart Peeters, Hugo Matthysen, Jan Leyers and Marc Kruithof played in a coverband called Beri Beri, but as a musician Bart Peeters gained his fame with The Radios. Absynthe Minded is a Belgian rock band, around frontman, vocalist and guitarist Bert Ostyn. Their tracks contain a mix of thirties jazz, with a touch of funky soul, Balkan beats and Merseyside pop. Absynthe Minded originally was a one-man band, being musician-singer-composer Bert Ostyn. He started off in 1999 with recording ''More Than This'' on 8-track in a 5 to 4 bedroom in Ghent, Belgium, with songs in a moderate rock genre. The opportunity to record some material in a studio brought forth ''Mushroom Holiday'' (2000). On that demo other musicians collaborated with Ostyn for the first time, which led later on to the forming of a band called Tao Tse Tse. The ''Gazet van Antwerpen'' (Antwerp Gazette, popularly named ''De Frut'', "sour head cheese") is a Belgian newspaper in Antwerp and Flanders, published by Concentra.
