The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is an Autonomous administrative division, autonomous province of Serbia, located in the northern part of the country, in the Pannonian Plain of Central Europe. Novi Sad is the largest city and administrative center of Vojvodina and the second largest city in Serbia. Vojvodina has a population over 1.93 million (approximately 26.88% of Serbia excluding Kosovo and 21.56% including Kosovo). Deliblatska Peščara
Deliblato Sands ( sr, Делиблатска пешчара, Deliblatska peščara; hu, Delibláti-homokpuszta) is a large sand area covering around of ground in Vojvodina province, Serbia. It is located in southern Banat, situated between the river Danube and the southwestern slopes of the Carpathian Mountains. The sands are named after the village of Deliblato, in the municipality of Kovin. Its main masses are elliptical shaped hills with steppe, steppe grassland plains and Forest steppe, steppe forests. The Deliblato Sands is the largest sandy terrain in Europe, once part of a vast prehistoric desert, having originated from the withdrawal of the Pannonian Sea. Rusanda Lake
Rusanda ( sr-cyr, Русанда is a spa town established in 1867 and located in Melenci, Zrenjanin, Serbia. Lake Rusanda Lake Rusanda ( sr-cyr, Језеро Русанда) is a highly saline, shallow wetland. Due to the high salinity of both the water and the mud, up to 60%, it has been speculated that Rusanda is one of the remnants of the ancient Pannonian Sea, but the lake is probably a fossil bed of the Tisza river. Records show that healing mud from the lake's bottom, peloid, has been used for therapeutic treatments at least since the 1760s. Mud therapy proved to be quite beneficial with muscle inflammation, rheumatism, gout and especially with the car crash injuries. Ledinačko Lake
Lake Ledinci ( sr, Лединачко језеро, Ledinačko jezero) is a small artificial lake on the mountain of Fruška Gora in Serbia, near the city of Novi Sad. The lake was created during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, when pumps in the abandoned trachyte quarry of ''Srebro'' were damaged and stopped pumping the water out of the quarry. The subterranean waters, so as the waters from two creeks, ''Lukin Svetac'' and ''Srebrni potok'', began filling the quarry. Characteristics The lake covers an area of and is surrounded by steep cliffs from most sides, with a slope on one side to allow swimmers to enter. Bosut (river)
The Bosut ( sr-Cyrl, Босут) is a river in the Syrmia region of eastern Croatia and northwestern Serbia, a 186 km long left tributary of the Sava river. Slow and meandering, it originates from the confluence of Biđ and Berava rivers south of the city of Vinkovci, the only major city on its course, and then turns southeast. Near Lipovac it receives its major tributary Spačva, and then enters Serbia near Batrovci. In its lower course, Bosut flows through a forested area in the Spačva region.
