Tornike Kapanadze
Tornike Kapanadze ( ka, თორნიკე კაპანაძე; born 4 June 1992), nicknamed Elva, is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Erovnuli Liga 2 club Sioni Bolnisi. Kapanadze has won seven trophies in all three domestic competitions and received individual recognition with different clubs. Career Kapanadze started his professional career at Samtredia in 2009, although his first achievement came with Samgurali in 2012–13, when he became the Pirveli Liga top goalscorer with 27 goals. In 2013, Kanapadze netted his first two European goals in Torpedo Kutaisi's 3–3 draw against Žilina. Early next year he moved to fellow Imeretian club Zestafoni. Kapanadze enjoyed a long-time prolific period at his hometown team Torpedo Kutaisi. Apart from winning the league and the Cup, twice in a row he became the top goalscorer. Kutaisi
Kutaisi (, ka, ქუთაისი ) is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and the third-most populous city in Georgia, traditionally, second in importance, after the capital city of Tbilisi. The Erovnuli Liga ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა - lit. National League) is the top division of professional football in Georgia. Since 1990, it has been organized by the Professional Football League of Georgia and Georgian Football Federation. The 2013–14 Umaglesi Liga was the 25th season of top-tier football in Georgia. The season began on 10 August 2013 and ended on 17 May 2014. 2012–13 Pirveli Liga
2012–13 Pirveli Liga was the 24th season of the Georgian Pirveli Liga. It began on 25 August 2012 and finished on 27 May 2013. Format 24 teams were divided into groups A and B to take part in a three-round competition. Group leaders gained promotion to the top tier, while bottom two clubs were relegated to the third division. Pirveli Liga
The Georgian Erovnuli Liga 2 ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა 2; ), organized since 1990 by GFF, serves as the second division of professional football in Georgia. Under the current name the league was introduced for the 2017 season as a part of reorganization process of the entire league system. It was formerly known as Pirveli liga (the First league). Structure There are ten clubs competing in Erovnuli Liga 2. During the season each club plays against its rival four times, twice at home and twice away. At the end of each season the winner gains automatic promotion and the bottom club is relegated. The runner-up and 3rd placed team participate in two-legged home and away play-off matches against the respectively 9th and 8th placed clubs of Erovnuli Liga. The 2010–11 Umaglesi Liga was the 22nd season of top-tier football in Georgia. It began on 14 August 2010 and ended on 22 May 2011. Olimpi Rustavi are the defending champions, having won their second Georgian championship last season. FC Zestafoni claimed their first title. The league size was expanded from 10 teams in that season to 12 teams in following season. Therefore, there was no direct relegation to the Pirveli Liga in that season. Teams Lokomotivi Tbilisi and Gagra were relegated to Pirveli Liga at the end of last season after finishing in 9th and 10th place respectively. The 2009–10 Umaglesi Liga was the 21st season of top-tier football in Georgia. It began on August 1, 2009, and ended on May 20, 2010. FC Olimpi Rustavi won the championship. Changes from 2008–09 Structural changes League size was reduced from 11 to 10 teams prior to this season. Promotion and relegation Borjomi were relegated to Pirveli Liga at the end of the season after finishing in 11th and last place. Other teams which will not participate in this year's championship are Mglebi and Meshketi, both due to unknown reasons. 2020 Erovnuli Liga
The 2020 Erovnuli Liga or Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga 2020 (formerly known as ''Umaglesi Liga'') was the 32nd season of top-tier football in Georgia. Dinamo Tbilisi were the defending champions. The season began on 29 February 2020 and ended on 10 December 2020. The league winner, Dinamo Tbilisi, earned a place in the UEFA Champions League and the second and third-placed clubs, Dinamo Batumi and Dila Gori respectively, earned a place in the new UEFA Europa Conference League. In March the season was suspended following a decision by the Georgian Football Federation due to COVID-19 pandemic, initially until 1 April, but later the suspension was extended to late June.
