Tord Salte
Tord Johnsen Salte (born 8 February 1999) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a defender for Arendal. Club career On 2 February 2018, Salte joined Viking FK on loan from Olympique Lyonnais until the summer. On 25 June 2018, he joined the club permanently, signing a three-year contract. In February 2020, he joined Sandnes Ulf on a season-long loan. On 4 June 2021, he was loaned out for a second time, this time to Sogndal. On 28 July 2021, he joined Sogndal permanently on a contract until the end of the year. In March 2022, he signed a contract with Arendal. International career Salte has represented Norway from under-15 to under-21 level, making a total of 47 international appearances between 2014 and 2019. Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Norwegian Football Cup
The Norwegian Football Cup ( no, Norgesmesterskapet i fotball for herrer) is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. It is run by the Football Association of Norway and has been contested since 1902, making it the oldest football tournament in the country. The tournament is commonly known as ''Cupen'' ("The Cup"), NM or NM Cup (''NM Cupen''), an acronym formed from ''Norgesmesterskap'' ("Norwegian Championship"). Norwegian First Division
The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon and OBOS-ligaen (named sponsor is property developer OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Each year, the top finishing teams in the 1. divisjon are promoted to the Eliteserien, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to 2. divisjon. 1. divisjon was previously known as 2. divisjon (1963–1990) and replaced regional league Landsdelsserien (1951–1962) after the latter was dissolved after the 1961–62 season. 2021 Viking FK Season
The 2021 season was Viking's 3rd consecutive year in Eliteserien, and their 71st season in the top flight of Norwegian football. The club participated in the Eliteserien and the Norwegian Cup. It was the club's first season with Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim and Morten Jensen as managers. Viking ended the Eliteserien season in 3rd place, the club's first top-three finish since 2007.
