Topi Keskinen
Topi Keskinen (born 7 March 2003) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen and for the Finland under-21 national team. Keskinen is known for his pace, dribbling and agility with the ball. Early life Keskinen was born in Espoo, but soon after at his early age his family moved to Mikkeli in Eastern Finland. He started to play football in the youth sector of the local club Mikkelin Palloilijat (MP). Club career MP He made his senior debut with MP first team in 2019, when the club played in third-tier level Kakkonen. The club won a promotion, and Keskinen signed a three-year deal with MP. He was named in the first team squad for the 2020 Ykkönen season, in Finland's second tier. In 2020, he also played briefly for the associate farm club (SavU) in the fourth tier Kolmonen. 2020 Ykkönen
The 2020 Ykkönen was the 49th season of Ykkönen, the second highest football league in Finland. The season began on 18 April 2020. New league format Ykkönen adopted a new league format for the 2020 season. The number of teams was raised from ten to twelve, and Promotion Series and Relegation Series will be played after the regular season. Each team will play against each other twice in the regular season. After the regular season the top six teams advanced to the Promotion Series which determines the champion and Veikkausliiga promotion places. The bottom six teams advanced to the Relegation Series. The 1st team from the Promotion Series will promote to the Veikkausliiga. The 3rd placed team from the Promotion Series plays against 4th placed team, and the winner of that match plays against 2nd placed team for place in the Veikkausliiga promotion play-offs against 11th placed team from Veikkausliiga. 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship Qualification
The 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying competition was a men's under-19 football competition that determined the seven teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Slovakia in the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament. Players born on or after 1 January 2003 were eligible to participate. Originally, the qualifying competition would use a new format with teams split into three different leagues with promotion and relegation, with the draw of the first round under the new format already held in December 2019. However, on 17 June 2020, UEFA announced that the introduction of the new format had been postponed to the next edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and qualification for this edition would use the previous format involving two rounds only. The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. The 2024 Veikkausliiga is the 94th season of top-tier football in Finland, which takes place from April to November. Veikkaus was the league's sponsor. Teams The league consisted of twelve teams; ten teams remaining from the previous season, and two teams promoted from the Ykkönen. HJK entered the season as defending champions. EIF were promoted as champions of the 2023 Ykkönen (returning to the top flight after a 90-year absence), replacing the bottom-placed 2023 Veikkausliiga team ( KTP, relegated after a single-year stint in top flight).
