Perihan Topaloğlu Acar (born Topaloğlu on August 31, 1987) is a Turkish women's handballer, who plays in the Turkish Women's Handball Super League for Ardeşen GSK, and the Turkey national team. She is the captain of both teams. The -tall sportswoman plays in the left back position. Private life Perihan Topaloğlu was born to Gürsel Topaloğlu in Bartın, Turkey on August 31, 1987. Her father died at a traffic accident in January 2014. She studied at Kastamonu University, and played for the university team during this time. In September 2015, she married Doğan Acar, a footballer of the Ardeşenspor. Yeliz Topaloğlu (born January 1, 1978) is a Turkish FIFA-listed football referee. Outside of refereeing, she is a teacher of physical education. She is FIFA-listed to referee beach soccer, the first woman to be licensed as such. Early years Yeliz Topaloğlu was born in 1978. She was raised in Eyüp district of Istanbul, Turkey. In 2000, she entered Marmara University to study physical education and sports. After graduating in 2004, she began to work as a physical education and sports teacher. Topaloğlu played tennis, football, and basketball during her university years. She had to retire from active sports, however, because of an injury. She decided to pursue a career as a basketball referee, and applied for the required course. Caner Topaloğlu (born April 17, 1985) is a Turkish former professional basketball player. Career On July 25, 2013, Topaloğlu signed a contract with the Turkish team Beşiktaş J.K. Ali TopaloÄŸlu (born 1998) is a Turkish world and European champion track and field athlete with Down syndrome. He is a member of Canik Belediyespor in Samsun. Ali TopaloÄŸlu started playing sports at the age of fifteen motivated by his father. Since 2014, he has been competing at international championships and has won several gold medals. He won the silver medal in the Mosaic discus event at the 2017 IAADS European Athletics Championships held in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. At the 2018 World Championships for Athletes with Down Syndrome in Madeira, Portugal, he became world champion in the shot put event and won two silver medals in discus and 200 m. Cihan Topaloğlu (born 30 March 1992) is a Turkish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Sakaryaspor. Career A youth product of Bozdoğan Belediyespor, Balçovaspor, and Altınordu, Topaloğlu signed his first professional contract with Altınordu in 2009. He made his senior debut with them in a 2–0 TFF Third League win over Muğlaspor on 25 April 2010. Usually Altay's reserve goalkeepers, played amateur football from 2012 to 2014 before returning to Altay where he went on successive loans to Bucaspor 1928, Manisa FK and Silivrispor. He transferred to Çaykur Rizespor in 2017, and helped them win the 2017–18 TFF First League. He joined Altay in 2019, and helped them get promoted into the Süper Lig in 2021.
