Too Many Cooks (TV Series)
''Too Many Cooks'' is a British cookery competition that aired on ITV from 1 November 2004 to 4 September 2005 and hosted by Kate Garraway for the first series and Jeni Barnett for the second series. The judges for the first series were Brian Turner and James Martin while the second series judges were Gino D'Acampo, Richard Phillips and Alex MacKay. Format Four teams of two people competitively cook for three judges. Each team is told what to cook and are given ten minutes to cook a starter, twenty minutes to cook a main course, and ten minutes to cook a pudding. A couple is eliminated after each course, leaving two teams to compete at the pudding stage. Kate Garraway
Kathryn Mary Draper Garraway (born 4 May 1967) is an English broadcaster and journalist. In the 1990s, Garraway was a journalist for ITV News Central and later a co-presenter of ITV News Meridian. From 2000 to 2010, she co-presented GMTV. Currently, Garraway is the presenter of ''Mid Mornings with Kate Garraway'' on Smooth Radio and newsreader (on Thursdays) and co-anchor (on Fridays) of the ITV Breakfast programme '' Good Morning Britain''. Jeni Barnett
Jeni Barnett (born 24 March 1949 in London) is an English actress and TV presenter who grew up in Borehamwood. Acting career As an actress Barnett appeared on several TV shows, including ''Revolting Women'' (BBC2, 1981) and ''Doctors'', and has also been a panelist on ITV's ''Loose Women'' and Five's ''The Wright Stuff'', and was a long-time presenter of the children's TV series '' You and Me''. Brian Turner (chef)
Brian James Turner (born 7 May 1946) is a British chef, writer and TV personality based in London. He appeared as a cook on BBC2's ''Ready Steady Cook'' from 1994, has appeared on numerous occasions on ''Saturday Kitchen'' and has also presented various other cookery programmes. Career Turner was born in Halifax, West Riding of Yorkshire. During his early career, his mentor was the food writer and broadcaster Michael Smith. Turner trained at various hotels and restaurants, including Simpson's in the Strand and the Savoy Grill, both under Richard Shepherd. Turner then went to Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, returning to Britain to work at Claridge's and then in 1971 the Capital Hotel where Turner and Richard Shepherd earned a Michelin star. James Martin (born 30 June 1972) is a British chef and television presenter, best known for his television work with the BBC and ITV. Martin presented the BBC cookery series ''Saturday Kitchen'' from 2006 until 2016, before leaving the BBC. ITV Granada, formerly known as Granada Television, is the ITV franchisee for the North West of England and Isle of Man. ITV Day
ITV Day was a programming block that broadcast on ITV1 from 9.25 am until 6.00 pm on weekdays and launched on 11 April 2005. The presentation was created by Bruce Dunlop Associates and said "ITV Day effectively creates a new brand, a change in programming and schedule will alter viewer perception". The "ITV Day" brand disappeared from screens on 13 January 2006, as ITV1 presentation was relaunched, along with the entire ITV family of channels.
