Tommy Nield
Tommy Nield (born April 17, 1999) is a Canadian professional football wide receiver for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). University career While he had contemplated playing for his hometown Guelph Gryphons, Nield committed to the McMaster Marauders program where he played U Sports football from 2017 to 2019. In his third year with McMaster, he caught 48 passes for 688 yards and four touchdowns and was named a second-team OUA All-Star. He won the 2019 Yates Cup with the Marauders and was the leading receiver in the Mitchell Bowl loss to the Calgary Dinos where he had eight catches for 151 yards and one touchdown. He did not play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the 2020 U Sports football season and remained draft-eligible for the Canadian Football League in 2021. The Calgary Dinos football team represents the University of Calgary in the sport of Canadian football in U Sports. The Montreal Alouettes (Canadian French, French: Les Alouettes de Montréal) are a professional Canadian football team based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1946, the team has folded and been revived twice. The 2023 Toronto Argonauts season was the 65th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 150th year of existence. The Argonauts entered the season as defending champions following their victory in the 109th Grey Cup. The team attempted to win their league-leading 19th Grey Cup championship, but were defeated by the Montreal Alouettes in the East Final. The Argonauts qualified for the playoffs for a third consecutive season following their week 11 victory over the Montreal Alouettes. The 109th Grey Cup decided the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2022 season. The game was played on November 20, at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. It marked the fourth Grey Cup game to be held in Regina, and the first to be held at the new Mosaic Stadium as opposed to Taylor Field. McLeod Bethel-Thompson
McLeod John Baltazar Bethel-Thompson (born July 3, 1988) is an American professional football quarterback for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at UCLA and Sacramento State. He is the grandson of the 1948 Olympic shot put champion Wilbur 'Moose' Thompson.
