2023 Toronto Argonauts Season
The 2023 Toronto Argonauts season was the 65th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 150th year of existence. The Argonauts entered the season as defending champions following their victory in the 109th Grey Cup. The team attempted to win their league-leading 19th Grey Cup championship, but were defeated by the Montreal Alouettes in the East Final. The Argonauts qualified for the playoffs for a third consecutive season following their week 11 victory over the Montreal Alouettes. In the following week, on September 15, 2023, the Argonauts defeated the Alouettes again to secure first place in the division for the third straight year, which was the first time since 1982–1984 that the franchise captured three straight division titles. The team also started the season with an 11–1 record which was the best start to a season in franchise history. East Division (CFL)
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Several now-defunct teams have also played in the East Division including two teams from the United States and a large number of teams that have played in Hamilton, Montreal, and Ottawa prior to the current teams from those cities. Borregos Salvajes CEM
The Borregos Salvajes CEM (English: ''CEM Wild Rams''), or simply Borregos CEM, was an American football team representing the State of Mexico campus of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM). The Borregos Salvajes competed in the ONEFA and later in the Conferencia Premier CONADEIP. Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Alfredo Gachuz Lozada (born 1 January 1999) is a Mexican professional gridiron football placekicker for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
