Tomasz Kłos
Tomasz Kłos () (born 7 March 1973) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Club career Kłos was born in Zgierz. At club level, he played for ŁKS Łódź (1995–1998), AJ Auxerre (1998–2000), 1. FC Kaiserslautern (2000–2003), 1. FC Köln (2003), Wisła Kraków (2003–2006) and in 2006 returned to ŁKS Łódź where he played until retiring in 2008. International career For Poland, Kłos appeared 69 times, scoring six goals. He captained his country and played for Poland at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Along with Jerzy Dudek, Tomasz Rzasa and Tomasz Frankowski, Klos was a surprise omission from his country's squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Zgierz
Zgierz is a city in central Poland, located just to the north of Łódź, and part of the metropolitan area centered on that city. As of 2021 it had a population of 54,974. Zgierz is situated in the Łódź Voivodeship (since 1999); previously it was in Łódź Metro Voivodeship (1975–1998). It's the capital of Zgierz County. A total of 51 teams took part, divided in 8 groups – five groups of six teams each and three groups of seven teams each – competing for 13 places in the World Cup. Germany, the hosts, were already qualified, for a total of 14 European places in the tournament. The qualifying process started on 18 August 2004, over a month after the end of UEFA Euro 2004, and ended on 16 November 2005. Estadio Iberoamericano, formerly known as Estadio Bahía Sur, is a multi-sport stadium located in San Fernando, Cádiz, San Fernando, Province of Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain.
