Tom Westley
Thomas Westley (born 13 March 1989) is an English professional cricketer who has played Test cricket for the England cricket team. He is a top order right-handed batsman who occasionally bowls offbreaks and has played first-class cricket for Essex County Cricket Club since 2006. He began his cricket career at Weston Colville Cricket Club in Cambridgeshire. Early life and education Westley was born on 13 March 1989 in Cambridge. He was educated at Linton Village College, Hills Road Sixth Form College and studied at Durham University. County career Westley's Essex career began in the 2004 Second XI Championship where he played his debut match as a 15-year-old against a Middlesex side captained by then 51-year-old ex-Test cricketer John Emburey. Cambridgeshire County Cricket Club
Cambridgeshire County Cricket Club is one of twenty minor county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Cambridgeshire including the Isle of Ely. The original Cambridgeshire club, established in 1844, is classified as a first-class team from 1857 to 1871. West Indian Cricket Team In England In 2017
The West Indies cricket team toured England in August and September 2017 to play three Test matches competing for the Wisden Trophy, one Twenty20 International (T20I) and five One Day Internationals (ODIs). Ahead of the Test series, the West Indies played first-class warm-up matches against Derbyshire, Essex and Kent. They also played a two-day match against Leicestershire, as they did not get to the final of the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast. In October 2016 the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that the first Test at Edgbaston would be played as a day/night game. The Oval
The Oval, currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Kia Oval, is an international cricket ground in Kennington, located in the borough of Lambeth, in south London. Gary Ballance
Gary Simon Ballance (born 22 November 1989) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who also represented England internationally until 2017, and represents Zimbabwe from 2022 onwards. He is a left-handed batsman and a leg break bowler, who last played for Yorkshire County Cricket Club. He was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. Ballance first played in the Second XI Championship in 2006, having made five appearances for Zimbabwe in the 2006 Under-19 World Cup, in which the team finished in sixth place. In the final match for the team, Ballance scored a half-century, gaining notice from Derbyshire and earned the chance to sign for the team in 2006. Mildenhall Cricket Club
Mildenhall Cricket Club in Suffolk was established in 1876 and plays at Wamil Way, a picturesque riverside setting with two cricket fields, where the club also grows its own willow trees for bat making. In 2016 the club's 1XI won the Two Counties Cricket Championship (Suffolk and Essex) and was promoted to the East Anglian Premier Cricket League.
