Tom Luddy
Tom Luddy (born 1943) is an American film producer and the co-founder of the Telluride Film Festival. He has a longtime association with the production company American Zoetrope. He has been a member of the jury at the 11th Moscow International Film Festival, the 38th Berlin International Film Festival and the 1993 Cannes Film Festival. A film producer is a person who oversees film production. Either employed by a production company or working independently, producers plan and coordinate various aspects of film production, such as selecting the script, coordinating writing, directing, editing, and arranging financing. The producer is responsible for finding and selecting promising material for development. Unless the film is based on an existing script, the producer hires a screenwriter and oversees the script's development. Telluride Film Festival
The Telluride Film Festival (TFF) is a film festival held annually in Telluride, Colorado during Labor Day weekend (the first Monday in September). The 49th edition took place on September 2 -6, 2022. History First held on 30 August 1974, the festival, held in the Sheridan Opera House, was started by the Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities, Bill and Stella Pence, Tom Luddy, and James Card of Eastman-Kodak Film Preserve and Scott Brown. It is operated by the National Film Preserve. In 2010, TFF partnered with UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
