Tom Giffard
Tom Giffard is a Welsh Welsh Conservative, Conservative politician who has served as Member of the Senedd (MS) for the region of South Wales West (Senedd Cymru electoral region), South Wales West since 2021 Senedd election, 2021. Giffard is a second language Welsh speaker, held various roles before his election, firstly becoming a Learning Support Assistant in a Welsh Language primary school. He then went on to complete his studies at Swansea University. Upon his graduation, he then went on to work as a Community Liaison Officer within his region of South Wales West before organising campaigns and working with volunteers in both Swansea and Bridgend. A Member of the Senedd (MS; plural: ''MSs''; cy, Aelodau o'r Senedd; , plural:) (AS)., group=la is a representative elected to the Senedd (Welsh Parliament; ). There are sixty members, with forty members chosen to represent individual Senedd constituencies, and twenty to represent the five electoral regions of the Senedd in Wales. South Wales West (Senedd Cymru Electoral Region)
South Wales West () is an electoral region of the Senedd, consisting of seven constituencies. The region elects 11 members, seven directly elected constituency members and four additional members. The electoral region was first used in 1999, when the National Assembly for Wales was created. Each constituency elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post electoral system, and the region as a whole elects four additional or top-up Members of the Senedd, to create a degree of proportional representation. The additional member seats are allocated from closed lists by the D'Hondt method, with constituency results being taken into account in the allocation. The Welsh Conservatives ( cy, Ceidwadwyr Cymreig) is the branch of the United Kingdom Conservative Party that operates in Wales. Ysgol Tre-Gib
Ysgol Tre-Gib was a bilingual, English language / Welsh language comprehensive school for pupils aged 11 yrs to 18 years based in Ffairfach, Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, Wales, bordering on the Brecon Beacons National Park. The school served a large catchment area from Llandovery to the north to Ammanford to the south. Some famous rugby union players attended this school, including Luke Charteris, who now plays for the Bath. Plans were afoot to merge Ysgol Tre-Gib with Llandovery's Ysgol Pantycelyn, with the new school being called Ysgol Dyffryn Tywi. Jamie Hamilton Wallis (born 2 June 1984) is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the member of Parliament (MP) for Bridgend in Wales since the 2019 general election. Wallis defeated incumbent Labour MP Madeleine Moon, who had represented the constituency since 2005.
