Tom Evans (music)
Thomas Evans (5 June 1947 – 19 November 1983) was a British musician and songwriter, most notable for his work with the band Badfinger. He co-wrote the song " Without You". The Iveys In July 1967, the Iveys (Pete Ham, Ron Griffiths, Mike Gibbins and Dave Jenkins) went to Liverpool at the suggestion of their manager, Bill Collins, to recruit a replacement for Dave Jenkins, their rhythm guitarist and frontman. They discovered Tommy Evans singing with Them Calderstones and invited him to London to audition for the band. He eventually accepted and joined the Iveys in August 1967. His first gig with the Iveys was on 20 August 1967 at the Starlite Ballroom in Crawley. On 23 July 1968, the Iveys were signed to the Beatles' Apple Records label. ''Maybe Tomorrow'' is the debut album by British rock band Badfinger. ''Maybe Tomorrow'' is the only release under the band's original name as The Iveys. It was issued in 1969 on the Apple label in Japan, West Germany and Italy. Although the album was scheduled to be released worldwide, the release in the US and UK at that time was halted without explanation. Many reasons for halting the album have been suggested by the band and Apple employees, but the most common theory is that Apple's newly hired president, Allen Klein, stopped all non-Beatle releases on Apple until he could examine the company's finances, which were in disarray at the time. Robert Jackson (born 6 January 1949, Coventry, England) is an English rock musician most famous for being a member of Badfinger from 1974-75 and 1981-83, and of The Fortunes since 1995. He currently tours under the name Badfinger in the United Kingdom. Career Indian Summer and Ross Jackson formed his first professional rock band, named Indian Summer (British band), Indian Summer, in 1969. The band released a debut album, ''Indian Summer'', on Neon Records in 1971, but disbanded the following year in the wake of business difficulties. "No Matter What" is a song originally recorded by Badfinger for their album ''No Dice'' in 1970, written and sung by Pete Ham and produced by Mal Evans. Recording As a demo, "No Matter What" was originally recorded at a slower tempo by Ham on acoustic guitar (as heard on the posthumous Ham solo CD ''7 Park Avenue''). A group demo version, played at the same tempo as Ham's acoustic demo, was recorded by Badfinger on April 18, 1970 with Mal Evans producing. Joey Molland
Joseph Charles Molland (born 21 June 1947, Edge Hill, Liverpool) is an English songwriter and rock guitarist whose recording career spans five decades. He is best known as a member of Badfinger, the most successful of the acts he performed with. Molland is the last surviving member from the band's classic line-up. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Career Originally a member of several rock groups around Liverpool, such as The Assassins and The Profiles, Molland began his recording career in 1965 when he joined The Masterminds. This group released a single on Immediate Records IM 005, consisting of a cover version of Bob Dylan's "She Belongs to Me" backed with a band original, "Taken My Love". ''The Magic Christian'' is a 1969 British satirical farce black comedy film directed by Joseph McGrath and starring Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr, with appearances by John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Raquel Welch, Spike Milligan, Christopher Lee, Richard Attenborough and Roman Polanski.
