Plenty Highway
The Plenty Highway is a outback mostly unsealed road in the Northern Territory of Australia between the Stuart Highway and north-western Queensland. Route description The road begins at a turnoff from the Stuart Highway north of Alice Springs, and finishes at Tobermorey Homestead on the Northern Territory/Queensland border. It then continues for another to Boulia in Queensland, as the Donohue Highway. The first from the Stuart Highway is sealed. Donohue Highway
The Donohue Highway is a mostly unpaved outback track that leads through the northern foothills of the Simpson Desert in Queensland to Tobermorey Homestead, Northern Territory near the Northern Territory/Queensland border in Australia. The road branches from the Diamantina Developmental Road north-west of Boulia and proceeds towards the Northern Territory. Punthamara
The Punthamara were an indigenous Australian people of the state of Queensland. Country According to Norman Tindale, the Punthamara's tribal territories embraced roughly , along the creeks flowing east of the Grey Range, whose western flank they lived about only as far as Mount Margaret and Congie. Manners Creek Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. Marqua Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is situated about south of Alpurrurulam and north east of Alice Springs. The property shares a boundary with Tarlton Downs to the west, Manners Creek Station to the north, Tobermorey to the east and the Atnetye Aboriginal Land Trust to the south. Marqua Creek, from which the station takes its name, flows through the property at the south eastern end. The property is very close to the Plenty Highway, which almost intersects the north west corner. In June 2011 the property was sold for 7.22 million on a walk-in walk-out basis. The property had been acquired by John and Mary Atkins, who also own Spion Kop Station near Taroom in Queensland, who were breeding cattle at Marqua then trucking them to Spion Kop.
