Tjørring IF
Tjørring Idrætsforening is an association football club based in Tjørring, a suburb of Herning, Denmark, that competes in the Denmark Series, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 1945, it is affiliated to DBU Jutland. The team plays its home matches at Tjørring Stadion, which has a capacity of 1,200. The club received some media coverage when they gained promotion to the second division, in spite of only finishing sixth in their Denmark Series pool, from which only two teams promote. However, since the rules state that a maximum of eight Superliga-second teams are allowed in the second division, and eight Superliga clubs' second squads already were qualified for the second division, and four of the top five spots were occupied by Superliga clubs' second squads, Tjørring was given the promotion spot. Denmark Series
The Denmark Series ( da, Danmarksserien) is the fifth tier in the Danish football league system. Teams are divided into four groups of ten. The top team in each group is promoted to the Danish 3rd Division. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to the regional Copenhagen Series, Zealand Series, Lolland-Falster Series, Funen Series, or Jutland Series as is appropriate for each club geographically. Clubs in the Denmark Series are participants in the Danish Cup tournament. The reserve teams of top-flight Danish Superliga and second-tier Danish 1st Division clubs are allowed to play in the Denmark Series, but 1st Division reserve teams cannot win promotion, as they must stay at least two leagues below their first team squads. Jutland Series
Jutland Series ( da, Jyllandsserien, JS, Herre Jyllandsserien) is the highest division for men organized by the regional association DBU Jylland and one of the fifth-highest divisions overall in the Danish football league system. The Jutland Association Football Championship ( da, Jyllandsmesterskabet, JM) was introduced in 1902. At the introduction of the championship, the tournament was placed at the top of the Danish football league system, but has since been moved to its current status as the fifth best level in Danish football, after a short period as the sixth best level, below the Denmark Series at the fourth level. DBU Jutland ( da, DBU Jylland) is the local governing body for association football and futsal in Jutland, Denmark. They are responsible for the governance and development of men's and women's football at all levels in the region. DBU Jutland is a member of the Union of Local Football Associations in Denmark (FLU; became "DBU Bredde" in 2020) under the Danish Football Association (DBU) and National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF). It is the organization of the Danish football clubs and runs the professional Danish football leagues and the men's and women's national teams. The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. The First Division contained between 12 and 24 clubs, playing each other home and away in a double round robin.
