Tito Lombana
Tito Lombana (1932 – 1998) was a Colombian sculptor and was brother of sculptors Héctor and . Biography Lombana won the first prize in sculpture at the 9th National Showcase of Artists of Colombia in 1952, for which he was awarded a four-year scholarship to study in Europe. He lived in Madrid, where he studied sculpting at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, and completed his studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in Florence, Italy. In January 1957, he proposed and executed for the city of Cartagena '' Las Botas Viejas'', a monument in honor of the Cartagena poet , in allusion to his poem entitled "A mi Ciudad Nativa". The sculpture stood in Cartagena until the mid-1990s, when it was demolished to make way for a bridge. His brother, Héctor, recreated the sculpture and placed it by Castle San Felipe de Barajas. The Cartagena Film Festival ( es, Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias), or FICCI, is a film festival held in Cartagena, Colombia, which focuses mainly on the promotion of Colombian television series, Latin American films and short films. The Cartagena Film Festival, which is held every March, is the oldest film festival in Latin America. The Cartagena Film Festival was founded 1959 by Victor Nieto. Nieto remained the director of the film festival for 48 years, his last being in 2008. Nieto died at the age of 92 in November 2008. Lina Paola Rodriguez was appointed manager by Nieto in 2007 and 2008, and will remain acting director following Nieto's death. Luis Ángel Arango Library (Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango or BLAA) is a public library located in Bogotá, Colombia. It is one of the largest and most important libraries in the world.
