Tina Dickow
Tina Dico (born Tina Dickow Danielsen on 14 October 1977) is a Danish singer-songwriter. She founded her own record label and releases her music independently, enjoying large success with her albums in her home country as well as critical acclaim across Europe. She is inspired by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. In Denmark she performs both under her real name, Tina Dickow, and under the adopted name Tina Dico as well. Background and early life Dico was born in Åbyhøj in Aarhus. Tina's father, who owned a high-end Hi-Fi stereo system in their basement, introduced her to music while she was still quite young. Dico's interest in playing music started in 8th grade, when she played in the cover-band Mel. They played a lot of songs by Jimi Hendrix, among other artists. SPOT is an annual music festival in the city of Aarhus, Denmark, showcasing up-and-coming Danish and Scandinavian talent. Close to two hundred artists and bands from most genres of contemporary popular music - such as rock (music), rock, hip hop music, hip hop and electronic music - play various stages across town, centered around the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg, Academy of Music and concert halls of Musikhuset Aarhus, Musikhuset. Grøn Koncert
Grøn Koncert (literally "Green Concert") is an annually recurring series of Danish one-day music festivals. Taking place in July, the concerts are performed by a selection of bands who tour around Denmark for about ten days. The concerts have been held every year since 1983, always with mostly or exclusively Danish artists. The concerts are arranged by Muskelsvindfonden, a Danish support organisation for muscular dystrophy sufferers; the practical work for the concerts is done by several hundred people from "Det Grønne Crew", Muskelsvindfonden's concert volunteer group. Roskilde Festival
The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Nordic countries. It was created in 1971 by two high school students and a promoter. In 1972, the festival was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism. In 2014, the Roskilde Foundation provided festival participants with the opportunity to nominate and vote upon which organizations should receive funds raised by the festival. Sophie Alexandra Jessica Barker (born 5 November 1971) is a British singer and songwriter from London, best known for her work with the British downtempo group Zero 7. Biography Barker left University College London after two years to become a full-time singer, signing to Sony Records in 1996 with fellow singer Kate Holmes under the name "Sirenes". They released three singles, "Blind", "Deep End", and "Sun Don't Shine", before splitting up at the end of 1997. Barker appeared on the final two tracks of English house band Groove Armada's 1999 sophomore album ''Vertigo''. Zero 7 are an English musical duo consisting of Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. They began as studio engineers and in 1997 formed the group Zero 7. Their debut album, '' Simple Things'', was released in 2001 in which their song "Destiny" stayed in the top 100 of the UK Single Charts. Subsequent albums include ''When It Falls'', '' The Garden'', and ''Yeah Ghost''.
