Timothy Persons
Timothy Persons is a US-American curator, writer, artist, and adjunct professor based in Berlin and Helsinki. Early life and education Persons was born in 1954 in Narvik, Norway and grew up in Claremont-Pomona ( Los Angeles), USA. He studied under the ceramic artist Paul Soldner, and worked as his teaching assistant for 2 years. Persons also worked with numerous guest lectures at the time, James Turrell, Betty Woodman, and Lewis Baltz. His graduate studies in Southern California were part of the joint cooperation between John Baldessari’s Cal Arts program and the Claremont Graduates Universities concept of the Open Studio as a platform to teach from. He returned to Europe after completing his Master of Fine Arts, at Claremont Graduate School in California in 1982. Paris Photo is an annual international art fair dedicated to photography. It was founded in 1997, and is held in November at the Grand Palais exhibition hall and museum complex, located at the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement in Paris. Joakim Eskildsen
Joakim Eskildsen (born 1971) is a Danish art photographer. Career as a photographer Eskildsen born 1971 in Copenhagen. He was a pupil of Rigmor Mydtskov in Copenhagen and went to Finland in 1994 to study photographic book making with Pentti Sammallahti at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. He lives near Copenhagen and has shown some of his works in Europe (including Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, France, England, Italy), China, and South Africa. From 2000-2006, together with the writer Cia Rinne, Eskildsen sought out Romani in various (mainly Eastern European) countries and other ethnic groups in India who are possibly related to the Roma. Nan Goldin
Nancy Goldin (born September 12, 1953) is an American photographer and activist. Her work often explores LGBT subcultures, moments of intimacy, the HIV/AIDS crisis, and the opioid epidemic. Her most notable work is '' The Ballad of Sexual Dependency'' (1986). The monograph documents the post- Stonewall, gay subculture and includes Goldin's family and friends. She is a founding member of the advocacy group P.A.I.N. (Prescription Addiction Intervention Now). She lives and works in New York City. Katarzyna Kozyra
Katarzyna Kozyra (born 1963) is a Polish video artist. She studied German studies at the University of Warsaw (1985–1988). In 1993, she also graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw where she studied sculpture and Hochschule für Graphik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. Kozryra received a ''Paszport Polityki'' award in 1997 as the most promising artist in Poland. She has exhibited internationally since 1997, at venues including Brown University and Carnegie International in the U.S. Her art was involved in a 1999 censorship incident in Poland. Her photo portrait of Slawomir Belina in a Warsaw exhibition in 2000 was also controversial for its alleged eroticism, as his anus was in the centre of the composition. Grey Crawford (born August 9, 1951) is a conceptual artist. He was born, lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Early life and education Born in Inglewood, Los Angeles County, Crawford grew up in a small community in Claremont in the neighborhood of hard-edge painter Karl Benjamin as well as the painter John McLaughlin who lived not far away in the Dana Point beach area.
