Hosted by Sheldon Turcott, it featured questions based on decades in history. It was produced and directed by Sidney M. Cohen. The show ran from 1997 to 1999, and emcee Turcott died shortly after its cancellation. ''TimeChase'' was later rerun on GameTV from 2007 to 2011. Sheldon Turcott
Sheldon Turcott (1936 – February 18, 2000) was a Canadian television journalist and news anchor, best known as a reporter and host on CBC Television for four decades. He was a frequent contributor to '' The National'', working at times as a newsreader, foreign correspondent, and executive producer of the program. GameTV is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment. It currently broadcasts a mixture of game shows, reality competition series, and films. The channel was first launched in 2005 under the ownership of Stuart Media Group as Casino and Gaming Television (CGTV), which primarily focused on sports betting and televised poker. Larry Tanenbaum's Insight Sports served as the channel's operating partner. In 2007, the channel was re-launched under its current name, expanding its format to include competition programming (such as game and reality shows, and for a period, reruns of classic Canadian game shows) and films, and eventually phased out its gaming programming. In 2016, the channel was acquired by Anthem, after which it briefly expanded to include occasional sports and sports entertainment programming. Catherine Swing
Catherine Swing is a Canadian television personality, actor, producer, director and former Miss Canada. Swing won the Miss Canada pageant in 1978, after having won the Miss Toronto crown while she was a student at York University. Over the next year she made public appearances in different parts of the country. She talked with the challenges of being Miss Canada with the press, most notably the lack of control over her own schedule. Swing was not able to compete in the 1978 Miss Universe pageant as had what the papers called "marriage plans".
