Timothy John Whitehead (born ) is a South African professional rugby union player who most recently played with . His regular position is centre. Career Youth and Varsity Cup rugby Whitehead played for Varsity Cup side in the 2008, 2010, 2011 editions of the competition. He made eleven appearances in this competition during the three seasons, helping Ikeys win the title in 2011 by beating in Pretoria. He also played for the side in the Under-21 Currie Cup competitions in 2008 and 2009. The 2011 Vodacom Cup was contested from 25 February to 13 May 2011. The 2014 Currie Cup Premier Division was the 76th season in the competition since it started in 1889 and was contested from 9 August to 25 October 2014. The Vodacom Cup was an annual rugby union competition in South Africa. Annual Vodacom Cup competitions were played between its inaugural season in 1998 and 2015 and was contested between February and May each year. The Vodacom Cup was the successor of the Bankfin Nite Series which was played in 1996 and 1997. Mobile communications provider Vodacom was the title sponsor for the entire duration of the competition. The competition was the third most prestigious in South African rugby, behind Super Rugby and the Currie Cup. Jake White
Jake White (born 13 December 1963 as ''Jacob Westerduin'') is a professional rugby union coach and former coach of the South African national team – the ''Springboks'' – whom he coached to victory in 2007 Rugby World Cup and the 2004 Tri Nations. White also coached the Under-21 Springbok side to victory in the Under-21 World Cup in 2002. He was coach of the Brumbies in the Super Rugby from 2012, but resigned with two years remaining on his contract in 2013 to return to South Africa. On returning to South Africa, he coached the Sharks for a single season, explaining he wanted to seek international opportunities. This arose in a technical role with the Tongan national team.
