Tim Powell (born 14 April 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond and Carlton in the Australian Football League The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Powell, originally from Berrigan, was used up forward and on the half back flanks while at Richmond. He kicked 17 goals in 1989 and early the following season had two 'Best on ground' performances which were later awarded acknowledged in the Brownlow Medal count. Before the 1993 season he was traded to Carlton for pick 28 in the draft and in his first year at his new club lined on the half forward flank in their 1993 Grand Final loss to Essendon. Berrigan Football Club
The Berrigan Football Netball Club, nicknamed the Saints, is an Australian rules football and netball club playing in the Picola & District Football League. The club is based in the small town of Berrigan located in the Riverina district of New South Wales. History The Berrigan Football Club's first recorded match was against Cobram, at Cobram in 1891 and initially competed in the Murray Border Football Association in 1895 and 1896, then competed in the Southern Riverina Football Association (SRFA) from 1905 to 1930. Berrigan won ten SRFA premierships against teams such as Finley, Leniston, Tocumwal and Jerilderie. In 1931 and 1932, Berrigan, Finley and Nathalia applied to join the Murray Football League, but were knocked back on the grounds of excessive travel for the other competing club. Assumption College (often known as ACK, where the K stands for Kilmore) is an Australian Catholic co-educational secondary day and boarding school. The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind"). Berrigan is a town on the Riverina Highway in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia.
