Tim McDonald (comedian)
Tim McDonald is an Australian comedian. He is best known for his regular guest appearances on the Australian comedy news quiz shows ''Have You Been Paying Attention?'' and more recently as co-host of '' The Cheap Seats'' with comedian and actress Melanie Bracewell. Both of these series are produced by Working Dog Productions and are a mix of news and comedy. McDonald was named among ''Radio Today''s Top New Talent to Watch in 2019. Television Since 2019, McDonald has been a regular guest on Network 10's show ''Have You Been Paying Attention?'', in which the host Tom Gleisner quizzes guests on the top news stories of the week. ''Have You Been Paying Attention?'' has won a number of Logie Awards. ABC Television (Australian TV Network)
ABC Television is the general name for the national television services of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). Until an organisational restructure in 2017/2018, ABC Television was also the name of a division of the ABC. The name was also used to refer to the first and for many years the only national ABC channel, before it was renamed ABC1 and then again to ABC TV. The Australian public broadcaster's television service was launched in November 1956 from its first television station in Australia, ABN Sydney. The Logie Awards (officially the TV Week Logie Awards; colloquially known as The Logies) is an annual gathering to celebrate Australian television, sponsored and organised by the magazine ''TV Week''. Thomas Edmund Gleisner (born 24 October 1962) is an Australian comedian, television presenter, producer, director, writer, occasional actor and author. Gleisner currently hosts Network 10's ''Have You Been Paying Attention?''. Early life and education Gleisner was educated at Xavier College in Melbourne, Australia. Gleisner attended the University of Melbourne in the 1980s, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws in 1987. He was a law student in University of Melbourne when he began working with Santo Cilauro and Rob Sitch in the 1983 Law Revue ''Legal A.I.D.S.''. Gleisner wrote and performed in the 1985 Melbourne University Revue ''Too Cool for Sandals'', and was credited as a writer on ''The D-Generation'' (1986–1987) but not as a regular performer.
