Tim Ireland
Timothy Neal Christopher Ireland is a former professional baseball player. He played parts of two seasons in Major League Baseball for the Kansas City Royals, appearing in 11 games in 1981 and 1982. He has also managed 12 seasons at various levels of the minor leagues. Ireland was originally selected in the 25th round of the 1973 Major League Baseball draft by the Montreal Expos. He was released by Montreal in April 1975, and over the next four seasons was under contract to five different organizations, ending up with the Royals in May 1977. He spent four more seasons with the Royals organization before making it to the majors in 1981, when he played four games at first base without coming to bat. He did score one run that season as a pinch runner. In 1982 he played in 7 additional games, including a pair of starts in right field, going 1-for-7 at the plate. In December, he was released. Infielder
An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. Stockton Ports
The Stockton Ports are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. They are located in Stockton, California, and are named for the city's seaport. The team plays its home games at Banner Island Ballpark which opened in 2005 and seats over 5,000 people. The Ports were established in 1941 as members of the California League and have won the California League championship 11 times. History Baseball first came to Stockton in the 1860s. At the time, Stockton fielded a team in an earlier incarnation of the California League. In 1888, the Stockton team won the California League pennant with a record of 41–12. Marv Foley
Marvis Edwin Foley (born August 29, 1953) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher and coach, and minor league manager. He played for the Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers in all or part of five seasons between 1978 and 1984, went on to serve as a catching instructor for the Colorado Rockies, and is the only manager ever to win league championships in all three major Triple-A leagues (International League, American Association and Pacific Coast League). Paul Stephen Carey (born January 8, 1968) is a former Major League Baseball first baseman/designated hitter who played in 1993 for the Baltimore Orioles. He also managed in the minor leagues from 1998 to 2001. His brother is former NHL goalie Jim Carey. Early life Carey was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Boston College High School in Dorchester, Massachusetts and then Stanford University, where he was voted the 1987 College World Series Most Outstanding Player as a freshman outfielder on Stanford's national champion baseball team on the basis of going 3-for-5 with two RBI and scoring two runs in the title game in Omaha. The Tulsa Drillers are a minor league baseball team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team, which plays in the Texas League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers major-league club. Mike Boulanger
Michael Boulanger (born August 21, 1949, at Ponca City, Oklahoma) is an American baseball coach and scout. He is scheduled to spend the season as a scout for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball, after working in 2012–2013 as the Orioles' minor league hitting coordinator. Boulanger, nicknamed "Bo," graduated from Ponca City High School and Oklahoma State University, where he played baseball and football. He was a center fielder in his playing days, standing 6 feet (1.83 m) tall, weighing 180 pounds (82 kg). He threw and batted right-handed. Sonoma County Crushers
The Sonoma County Crushers were a minor league baseball team located in Rohnert Park, California. They were a member of the independent Western Baseball League, and were not affiliated with any Major League Baseball team. The team was one of the founding members of the league, beginning play in 1995. They won their first and only league championship in 1998. The team folded with the league after the 2002 season. The Crushers were the only team in the WBL that remained in constant operation through the league's eight years. At one point, former San Francisco Giants outfielder Kevin Mitchell managed the Crushers. Chin-hui Tsao
Chin-Hui Tsao (; born June 2, 1981) is a Taiwanese former professional baseball pitcher. He is the second major league player, and the first major league pitcher from Taiwan. Like the first Taiwanese major league player, former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Chin-Feng Chen, he is a Taiwanese aborigine of Amis ancestry. He had previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies and Dodgers before spending the 2009 season with the Brother Elephants in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL).
