Tim Harrington (footballer)
Tim Harrington (born 19 September 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne Football Club, North Melbourne, Collingwood Football Club, Collingwood and Western Bulldogs, Footscray in the Australian Football League, Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). A defender, used mostly as a full-back, Harrington came to North Melbourne from Oak Park Football Club, Oak Park. He played 20 games over three seasons with North Melbourne and then ended his career with stints at Collingwood and Footscray. Footscray hired him as an assistant coach in 1992 and he remained with the club for three years. From 1995 to 2001 he was an assistant coach to Denis Pagan at North Melbourne, during which time they won two premierships. He was then North Melbourne's Football Manager for five years. Tim Harrington (singer)
Tim Harrington has been the lead singer of New York indie rock band Les Savy Fav since they formed while together at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 1995. He is notable for his energetic stage performances which often include multiple changes of clothing and performing in his underwear. He describes his style as "acting entirely by my own desire and what moves me. I've always felt like the only real people I'm particularly trying to entertain are the rest of the guys in the band and myself". He fronted a video series called "Beardo" on Pitchfork Media. Harrington has also been a professional designer, illustrator, and fine artist since 1996, creating a range of "bummer postcards" and illustrations, including the sleeve art for Les Savy Fav albums. Timothy Charles Harrington (1851 – 12 March 1910), born in Castletownbere, Castletownbere, County Cork, was an Ireland, Irish journalist, barrister, Irish nationalism, nationalist politician and Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. As a member of the Irish Parliamentary Party he represented Westmeath (UK Parliament constituency), Westmeath from February 1883 to November 1885.
