Tim Emert
Tim Emert (born January 29, 1940) is an American attorney and former politician from Kansas. Emert was born in Independence, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas, where he studied journalism and subsequently attended the University of Kansas School of Law. He was a member of his local school board from 1972 to 1987; in that year, he was elected to the Kansas Board of Education, where he served from 1987 to 1992, including two years as its chair. Mark Vincent Parkinson (born June 24, 1957) is an American businessman and former politician serving as head of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL). He served as the 47th lieutenant governor of Kansas from 2007 to 2009 and the 45th governor of Kansas from 2009 until 2011. He was also a state legislator. Early life, family, education, and career Parkinson was born in 1957 in Wichita, Kansas, to a family with roots in Scott City, where Parkinson still owns a farm.
