Tilt (Finnish TV Series)
Tilt (previously known as ''Tilt.tv'') is a Finland, Finnish Video game, video gaming programme aired primarily on MTV3. It started out in 1997 on MTV3 and was also seen on Sub (TV channel), Sub, Jim (TV channel), Jim, Fox (Finland), Fox and briefly on Nelonen. Currently the programme is aired on Kutonen (TV channel), Kutonen. Tilt.tv was originally hosted by Jaana Pelkonen, who more recently hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki together with Mikko Leppilampi. After Jaana the host was Anna-Maija Jalkanen from 2005 to the spring of 2007 after Jalkanen the host was Kristiina Wheeler from 2007 to 2008, and after Wheeler the host was Anni Uusivirta from 2011 to 2013. The current host is Martina Kuitto. Simo Kurki hosted alongside Kuitto from 2013 to 2015. The show has had continuing success and has been exported to Poland and other countries. Jaana Pelkonen
Jaana Pelkonen (born 27 January 1977) is a Finnish member of parliament and television presenter. Career Pelkonen's media career started as a radio presenter for ''Radio 99'' in Lahti in 1995–1997. She became famous in Finland as the host of the video gaming show ''Tilt'' in 1997–2005 and the youth program Jyrki in 1998. In 2001–2002 she hosted an entertainment travel show called ''FarOut''. She has also hosted the Finnish qualifications of the Eurovision Song Contest for five years. On 12 May 2007 Pelkonen hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 together with Mikko Leppilampi. She also gave the Finnish votes in the Eurovision Dance Contest 2008 held in Glasgow, Scotland which was the second ever Dance Contest. Nelonen () is a Finnish commercial television channel. It started out as Helsinki's local television channel PTV in 1990 on the HTV cable network (now part of DNA Welho), and changed its name first to PTV4. On June 1, 1997, the channel expanded to national coverage and changed its name to Nelonen, the Finnish name of the number four. Nelonen is mostly owned by Sanoma Corporation, which owns the ''Helsingin Sanomat'' and ''Ilta-Sanomat'' newspapers. Its largest owner was Aatos Erkko. MTV3 ( fi, MTV Kolme, sv, MTV Tre) is a Finnish commercial television station. It had the biggest audience share of all Finnish TV channels until Yle TV1 (from Yle) took the lead. The letters MTV stand for Mainos-TV (literally "Advertisement-TV", i.e. "Commercial TV), due to the channel carrying advertising for revenue. Number 3 was added later, when the channel was allocated the third nationwide television channel and it generally became known as "Channel Three"—Finnish Broadcasting Company’s Yle TV1 and Yle TV2 being the first two—and also to distinguish it from the later MTV Finland, which is a Finnish version of Paramount's MTV channel. ''Pelaaja'' ("Gamer") is a Finnish video games magazine published 11 times a year by H-Town. ''Pelaaja'' turned 15 years old in 2017. Pelaaja covers both PCs and consoles, although between 2003 and 2007 it focused only on consoles. During that time the PC coverage was in a separate magazine named ''PCPelaaja'', now defunct. ''Pelit'' ("Games") is a Finnish video games magazine published in Helsinki, Finland. History ''Pelit'' dates back to 1987, as an annual extra games-only issue of '' MikroBitti'' and '' C-lehti''. Another annual issue was published in 1988, and in 1989 it became semi-annual (two times per year). In 1992, the staff of the semi-annual computer game book launched ''Pelit'' as a fully-fledged magazine. Its layout and contents have occasionally been revised over the years.
