Tilt (Confidence Man Album)
''Tilt'' is the second studio album by Australian electro pop band, Confidence Man. It was announced on 10 November 2021, alongside the album's lead single, "Holiday" and released on 1 April 2022. According to the album's announcement press release, the album is "fierce, flirty and full of anthems" and listeners "might need to sit down before you hit play". At the 2022 ARIA Music Awards, the album was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Release. Reception ''Tilt'' received generally favorable reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 80, based on nine reviews. Neil Z. Confidence Man (band)
Confidence Man are an Australian indie electro pop band formed in 2016 in Brisbane, Queensland. They released their debut album '' Confident Music for Confident People'' in April 2018. The front-duo and their band members have been a part of many festivals across Australia, most notably Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival. Background 2016-2022: Formation, ''Confident Music for Confident People'' and ''Tilt'' The band was formed in 2016. The members had met on the Brisbane music scene, and had been in other bands including: The Belligerents, Moses Gunn Collective and The Jungle Giants, and use pseudonyms in Confidence Man. They started writing dance songs together, initially as a "kind of joke", but eventually realised the material was worth pursuing. Planet and Bones provide vocals and dancing while Goodchild and McGuffie, who appear as masked figures, play keyboards and drums. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review. The ARIA Music Award for Best Dance Release, is an award presented at the annual ARIA Music Awards, which recognises "the many achievements of Aussie artists across all music genres", since 1987. It is handed out by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), an organisation whose aim is "to advance the interests of the Australian record industry." To be eligible, the recording (an album or single) must have been commercially released. The award is presented to an artist within the dance genre.
