Tiit Kuningas
Tiit Kuningas (born 30 October 1949) is an Estonian sports journalist. He was born in Massiaru, Pärnu County. He studied at Tallinn Pedagogical Institute. In youth he exercised several sport disciplines, including basketball and volleyball. As a sport journalist, he has contributed to several newspapers, including '' Spordileht'', '' Postimees'', and the magazine '' Sporditäht''. He has also been a successful quizzer. He was a member of the quiz team which participated on the ETV television program ''Naapurivisa'' in the late 1960s. Eesti Televisioon (ETV) ( en, Estonian Television) is an Estonian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by Estonian Public Broadcasting. It made its first broadcast on 19 July 1955. History Eesti Televisioon (''Estonian Television'') was launched on 19 July 1955. Before that, television broadcasts in Estonia could only be received from Moscow. The very first Estonian-language TV presenter was Ofelia Mikk, whose debut was in the 19 July 1955 test broadcast. Her tenure in television was cut short, because she misspoke out of nervousness. The first tenured presenter for the nascent ETV was Ruth Peramets-Püss (1927–2005). To find a presenter, a casting competition was held in 1955, but no suitable person was found. By chance, a film in which she starred, was aired on ETV on the day of the competition, and so she was hired. Tiit Lääne (born 21 October 1958) is an Estonian sportsman and sports journalist. He was born in Jõgeva. In 1986 he graduated from Tallinn Pedagogical Institute in physical education. In youth he exercised many sport disciplines, including decathlon and bandy. He was also a member of Estonian national bandy team. His journalist career began in 1979. 1987-1992 he was special correspondent for newspaper '' Maaleht''. He has been an editor for several newspapers, including ''Eesti Spordileht'' and '' Eesti Päevaleht''.
