Tierramystica
Tierramystica is a Brazilian folk metal band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, founded in 2008. The band is noted for blending heavy/power metal with elements of andean music. As an opening act, they have performed with names such as Angra, Sepultura, Symphony X, Epica, Paul Di'Anno and Scorpions. History The band was formed on January 28, 2008 when guitarist Fabiano Muller and vocalist Ricardo "Chileno" Durán quit the band Toccata Magna and joined guitarist Alexandre Tellini for a new musical venture. The line up was later completed with bassist Rafael Martinelli, keyboardist Luciano Thumé, drummer Eduardo "Duca" Gomes and vocalist André Nascimento. Their debut EP, named ''New Eldorado'' and containing the title-song and "Spiritual Song", sold a total of 100,000 copies. Ricardo Confessori
Ricardo Confessori (born January 25, 1969) is a Brazilian drummer and a former member of the Brazilian power metal band Angra. After leaving the Brazilian thrash metal band Korzus, Confessori was invited for assume the post of drummer of Angra, after the recording of the album '' Angels Cry''. In 2000, Confessori left Angra with singer Andre Matos and bassist Luis Mariutti to form the band Shaman together with guitarist Hugo Mariutti. Shaman released three albums with this line-up: ''Ritual'' (2002); '' RituAlive'' (live album, released in CD and DVD in 2003); and ''Reason'', in 2005. After the second album, Confessori and Matos had some creative differences. Confessori owned the Shaman name resulting in the other members leaving the band. Fábio Laguna
Fábio Laguna (Brazil, March 1977) is a keyboardist most famous for playing with Angra since 2001 and for being a member of Hangar band since 2002. In 2006 he released his last solo album called Freakeys along with members of both bands. Biography Born in Mococa, a small city from São Paulo state in Brazil, Fábio began playing simple keyboards from an early age. Along with his older brother André, both had keyboard classes, which Fabio dropped early. As a teenager, he began rehearsing within his first rock band and having his first small concerts. After that he played in a small professional night band and for 4 years he toured the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais in a VW Transporter (commonly known in Brazil as "Kombi", short form of "Kombinationfahrzeug"). Scorpions (band)
Scorpions are a German rock band formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal to soft rock. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums). Shaman (Brazilian Band)
Shaman is a Brazilian progressive and power metal band assembled in 2000 by three musicians who left the band Angra – Andre Matos, Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori. The band was completed with guitar player Hugo Mariutti (Luis' younger brother – both of them also play in another band called Henceforth). Shaman changed its name to Shaaman due to legal reasons, but the issue was solved and they renamed it back to Shaman. In October 2006, Andre Matos officially left the band along with the Mariutti brothers. Confessori reformed the band with a new line-up featuring Thiago Bianchi on vocals, Léo Mancini on guitars, Fernando Quesada on bass and Junior Carelli on keyboards.
