Tien Wong
Tien Wong (born 1968 in Hong Kong) is an ophthalmologist and researcher. He studies the association of retinal vascular imaging to determine the risks of a number of common diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease and dementia. He is currently a Unit Head of the Retinal Vascular Imaging Centre (RetVIC) within the Centre for Eye Research Australia. Early life and education Wong graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1992 and completed his ophthalmology specialty training in 2002. Ophthalmology ( ) is a surgical subspecialty within medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Retina
The retina (from la, rete "net") is the innermost, light-sensitive layer of tissue of the eye of most vertebrates and some molluscs. The optics of the eye create a focused two-dimensional image of the visual world on the retina, which then processes that image within the retina and sends nerve impulses along the optic nerve to the visual cortex to create visual perception.
