Tiago Gomes (footballer, Born 1986)
Tiago Henrique Damil Gomes (born 29 July 1986) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left-back for F.C. Alverca. Club career Gomes was born in Oeiras, Lisbon District. A product of S.L. Benfica's youth ranks, he spent his first two professional seasons on loan, only appearing for his parent club during pre-season, 2006–07 at C.F. Estrela da Amadora – in the Primeira Liga – where he played with namesake Tiago Filipe Figueiras Gomes, and the following at Poland's Zagłębie Lubin. In August 2008, Gomes signed for CA Osasuna on a free transfer, making no competitive appearances for the Navarrese in his only season. Oeiras () is a town and municipality in the western part of Lisbon metropolitan area, located within the Portuguese Riviera, in continental Portugal. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. The UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying tournament was a football competition that was played from September 2014 to November 2015 to determine the 23 UEFA member men's national teams joining the automatically qualified host team France in the UEFA Euro 2016 final tournament. A total of 53 national teams participated in this qualifying process, with Gibraltar taking part for the first time. Fernando Santos (footballer, Born 1954)
Fernando Manuel Fernandes da Costa Santos (born 10 October 1954) is a Portuguese professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 161 games and two goals over eight seasons, almost always with Estoril. After retiring, he worked as a coach for several decades, starting out at his main club in 1988. Santos managed Portugal's Big Three, winning five major titles with Porto. For the better part of the 2000s he worked in Greece, mainly with AEK Athens and PAOK. In 2010, he was appointed at the helm of the Greece national team, coaching them in a World Cup and one European Championship.
