Thundering Nights (foaled 19 March 2017) is an Irish Thoroughbred racehorse. After winning one minor race from three attempts as a two-year-old she made progress in the following year when she took the Group 3 Snow Fairy Stakes and ran third in the Blandford Stakes. She made further improvement as a four-year-old when she was narrowly beaten in the New York Stakes before winning the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes. Background Thundering Nights is a bay mare with a broad white blaze and two white socks bred in Ireland by Manjri Farm, an Indian breeding operation owned by Shapoor Mistry. As a foal in November 2017 she was offered for sale at Goffs, but failed to reach her €17,000 reserve price. In September of the following year she returned to the sales ring at Tattersalls but again failed to reach her reserve, which was set on this occasion at €19,000. Night Of Thunder (horse)
Night of Thunder (foaled 12 March 2011) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. In May 2014, he won the 2000 Guineas. He failed to win again as a three-year-old but finished second in both the St James's Palace Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and third in the Prix du Moulin. On his four-year-old debut, he won the Lockinge Stakes. Background Night of Thunder is a chestnut colt with a white star and two white socks bred in Ireland by Frank Dunne. Nell Gwyn Stakes
The Nell Gwyn Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in Great Britain open to three-year-old fillies. It is run over a distance of 7 furlongs (1,408 metres) on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket in mid-April. History The event was established in 1961, and it was initially called the Spring Fillies' Stakes. The first running was won by Verbena. The race was renamed the Nell Gwyn Stakes in 1962. Shane Crosse
Shane Crosse (born 21 September 2001) is an Irish jockey who competes in flat racing. Background Crosse comes from Cahir in County Tipperary in Ireland. His father Matt Crosse is a former jump jockey and brother Nathan Crosse is a flat-racing jockey. Crosse took part in pony racing and became an apprentice jockey at the yard of trainer Joseph O'Brien while he was still at school. Ballybrit Race Track, also known as Galway Racecourse, is a horse race course in County Galway, Ireland.
