Thubelihle Shamase
Thubelihle Shamase (born 16 January 2002) is a South African soccer player who plays as a midfielder for A Lyga side FC Gintra and the South Africa women's national team. Personal life She has an identical twin sister, Sphumelele Shamase, who is also a soccer player. Club career UJ Ladies F.C. Shamase played for SAFA Women's League side the University of Johannesburg. In 2022, she won the Gauteng ENGEN Knockout Challenge whilst playing for the U/20 team. She won the player of the tournament, top goal scorer and striker of the tournament awards for her efforts. In 2023, she was nominated for the CAF Young Player of the Year (Women) award. FC Gintra In March 2024, she joined A Lyga side FC Gintra. She made her debut on 24 March 2024. Lucas "Masterpieces" Moripe Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium having a capacity of 28,900 and is located in Atteridgeville, a township (South Africa) of Pretoria, South Africa. 2024 Women's Africa Cup Of Nations Qualification
Qualification for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations began on the week of 20–26 September 2023 and concluded on the week of 29 November – 5 December the same year. Its draw was held at the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Salé, Morocco on 6 July 2023 at 18:00 CET ( UTC+1). The 2023 COSAFA Women's Championship was the eleventh edition of the COSAFA Women's Championship, also known as the 2023 Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women's Championship for sponsorship purposes, the annual international women's association football championship contested by women's national teams of Southern Africa and organised by COSAFA. The 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup was the 6th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, the biennial international women's youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 2008.
