''The Illusion of Safety'' is the second studio album by American rock band Thrice. It was released on February 5, 2002 through Sub City Records, who the band had previously reissued their debut studio album ''Identity Crisis'' (2000) through. They wrote new songs at a rate of two per month, prior to recording in July 2001. Sessions were held at Salad Days Studios with producer Brian McTernan. ''The Illusion of Safety'' is a melodic hardcore and post-hardcore album, with a reoccurring topic of death and religious references. ''The Illusion of Safety'' received generally positive reviews from music critics, some of whom praised the album's mix of styles. It sold 4,202 copies during its first week of release, reaching the top 20 on the ''Billboard'' Independent and Heatseekers Album charts. Paul Miner
Paul Miner (born December 4, 1976) is the bassist for Death by Stereo, who left the band early 2005 (right before the band's fourth album '' Death for Life''), to produce, engineer, master, and mix music full-time. Previously he produced and engineered the first three Death by Stereo records, which is probably why the band's fourth album ''Death for Life'', was a noticeable departure from their regular sound. Paul was also in a band called Kill The Messenger, which was also signed to Indecision Records. Paul is the brother of Jim Miner, the original guitarist, who left the band during the recording of Death by Stereo's third album ''Into the Valley of Death''. Paul and his brother Jim recently reunited with Death by Stereo in 2006 to record their upcoming fifth studio album, entitled '' Death Is My Only Friend'', which is due for release in 2009. Death by Stereo (also referred to as D.B.S.) is an American hardcore punk band formed in Orange County, California circa 1998 by frontman Efrem Schulz. They are well known for their energetic performances and intricate guitar work. Their name can be attributed to the 1987 horror film ''The Lost Boys,'' in which Corey Haim speaks the line. ''Palms'' is the tenth studio album by American rock band Thrice. The album was released on September 14, 2018, through Epitaph Records, making it the band's first release through the label. On July 10, the band released a single titled "The Grey" accompanied by a music video directed by Daniel Carberry. A second single from the album, "Only Us", was released August 14. The album was co-produced by the band and Eric Palmquist, and mixed by John Congleton, and is said to encompass everything from "viscerally charged post-hardcore to piano-driven balladry." Brand New was an American rock band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2000, the band consisted of Jesse Lacey (vocals, guitar), Vincent Accardi (guitar, vocals), Garrett Tierney (bass guitar, vocals) and Brian Lane (drums, percussion); they were joined by Benjamin Homola (percussion) for their live performances. ''Major/Minor'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band Thrice. The album was released on September 6, 2011, through Vagrant Records. Recording and production Thrice entered Red Bull Studios in early May 2011 with producer Dave Schiffman. The group had previously worked with Schiffman on 2005's ''Vheissu'' as an audio engineer, and on 2009's ''Beggars'' as a mixer. Thrice also previously used Red Bull Studios to record their acoustic live EP '' The MySpace Transmissions'' in 2007. A physical release containing bonus material was released on September 15, 2009. Classical Element
Classical elements typically refer to earth, water, air, fire, and (later) aether which were proposed to explain the nature and complexity of all matter in terms of simpler substances. Ancient cultures in Greece, Tibet, and India had similar lists which sometimes referred, in local languages, to "air" as "wind" and the fifth element as "void".
